I have on the server a christmas comp and the aim is to make a christmas related building. I was wondering what kind of materials would be best for a christmas theme. eg

I cant the server is purely ftb and I want to win. I highly doubt they would add any christmas related mods.
I know snow but what other themes can you guys come up with

Spruce trees and logs are an idea (highly reminiscent of a christmas tree). You may also want to include redstone lamps, and make em blinking. Just a few suggestions.

A terraformer on "snow" mode will do the job! Just supply the TBP and the power supply and your good to go. I will do this and the giant tree thingy.

Also making a chimney out of bricks with smokers inside it will add an amazing touch.

Use a forestry woodworker to make red/green wooden tiles and use the many available decorative tiles in your build.

There sure are! Only with vanilla blocks though.

My ideas, some of which have been said:
- Snow (duh)
- Twilight Forest smokers for a chimney or two
- Thaumcraft candles
- Nitor to simulate larger candles
- Note blocks playing a simple Christmas melody
- Twilight Forest deer in Santa's stable (use safari nets to get them)
- Pine trees for a Christmas tree; decorate with microblock corners for ornaments and microblock cover strips for garland, maybe nitor for the star?

- And finally, if you really want to stand out from the crowd, ignore all these ideas and do a Nether Christmas - bloodwood Christmas tree, wither Santa, etc.

Maybe create a snow globe scene under the ocean? make yourself an iron block base and a glass dome over it clear out all the water plant a hand full of spruce trees maybe if possible a small cabin made too look like gingerbread and a couple deer from twilight forest and of course a snowman or two with a villager inside the cabin next to a fireplace.

I am using JSTR texture pack.. Might have something to do with it..

Hye Alex I was thinking, You like those xycraft block eh??

In Direwolf's last LP video, he showed off the xmas tree they did on a stream, the thing had blinking lights... From arc's magica I am not sure cause I didnt play 1.5 at all but you should look at that video.. you might like those blocks, they also blink in random paterns or something also..

Yeah i like the lamps and I love some of the suggestions. I am making it out at sea with a rail connecting to it and will make the ground snow and using all your suggestions and lots of wool
