Christ I'm an idiot. I wasn't paying attention and missed that the reactor design was divided into (previously fully distinct) quadrants.

For all intents and purposes that used to be 4 different reactors. Its now one big one, with limited fission inter-reactions (dunno if that's a term but I'm coining it if it isn't)

@Reika: Are you talking about one quadrant of the reactor design, or all 4 units? I only ever built the equivalent of one of the quadrants in that reactor, so it has no other sub-units to which neutrons can be sent.
 
That...doesn't seem possible. Each boiler was getting several hundred million millibuckets per tick, minimum; nothing generates water faster than Pressure Pipes. Something must have been faulty, hrm...I'll replicate it in a creative world and see what's goin down.

So...am I in the neighbourhood of the Amazon, or would I be more along the lines of the Mississippi? XD

Also, the reactor is, block for block, the exact same size and configuration as the top-left quadrant of the one I posted. The only things that have changed are I'm using different pipes for item transport: Mekanism for fuel input and Ender IO for waste disposal.

I have a question about modpack permissions involving a semi-private pack, it concerns point number 2. Basically I`ve just been told stuff that doesn`t match up with what I`m seeing with the permissions or the packs that Rotarycraft is in. You cannot extract Reikas mods from the pack you`re distributing but you can redistribute them after gaining permission as long as you`re redistributing the pack and not the individual mods. Do I have that right?

Just there seems to be the idea floating around that if you wish to have rotarycraft in a pack you have to link directly to Reikas page and have your friends manually download and install the correct version.

What #2 says is that you cannot pull my mods from a pack containing them and then rehost those files. It does not bar you from shipping them with the rest of your pack (which would be stupid).

This refers to taking files from a modpack and then hosting them somewhere. Not only is this frequently done for monetary gain, which the dev may or may not care about, but it also impacts his download numbers.

Thanks for the reply. I figured but for some reason people have weird ideas, well I`m not going to get into it but it`s nice to have confirmation.

Good to see that your stuff is in Ethos new pack, I wish I could see your stuff in some more kitchen sink packs. For some reason I feel like rotarycraft would work well with gregtech, thematically not in actuality since one is IC2 and modifies everything left right and center.

They both handle gating well, but both sort of want to be center-of-attention mods and have drastically different progression rates. I haven't seen anyone combine them harmoniously yet.

Challenge considered... and rejected shortly thereafter because (a) I have absolutely no experience balancing anything, and (b) I would probably never get around to it.

Could be interesting if someone does manage to pull it off, though. You'd mostly have to gate GT materials behind RoC machines, since Reika doesn't like anyone messing with his progression, for reasons already stated many times in this thread. About all you could gate behind GT would be the raw materials used in RoC, of which there aren't a whole lot. So that's, what, iron ingots (gated behind having a pick that can mine small iron ore), diamonds (needs cobalt tools and a furnace or iron tools and electric machines in vanilla GT), tungsten (tungstate harvestability or the Extractor and silk touched redstone ore- best unlock those at the same time), obsidian (harvestability), some Nether resources (which GT already tries really hard to gate behind steel), sugar (maybe require sugarcane to be centrifuged?), and a whole bunch of things like sand, gunpowder, and dirt that would be quite difficult to gate behind much anything.

So that's a few things that would allow certain pieces of RoC to be gated behind GT machines without (hopefully) breaking Reika's ToS, but for the pack to work, many of the GT tiers would need to be gated behind RoC machines as well, and that can only happen if Reika allows recipes for things unrelated to his mods to be added to his machines, i.e. all the GT ores in the Extractor and Grinder, Pulse Jet Furnacing some of the high-tier GT alloys (kanthal or nichrome to lock out upgraded Electric Blast Furnaces, perhaps?), etc. Reika, would you be OK with this, or would it be look too much like the "favoritism" that you've said people would yell at you about?

This has been possible for a long time via the API, and I am expanding that and opening it to Minetweaker as well.

Actually, assuming that he is producing 700,000,000 millibuckets, it ends up being 14,000,000 m^3/s. Which is many times more than that.
To give an idea of the scale, this would fill the entire Atlantic Ocean (323,600,000,000 m^3) in a little less then fourty minutes.

You'd prolly want to triple that, lol. I believe Pressure Pipes' throughput rate is Integer.MAX_SIZE, or somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2.14 billion millibuckets per tick. If only Java allowed unsigned integers...

I just thought of something, why is the sign bit on the most-significant bit of a given value? Why not put it on the lest-significant bit and only affect your storage range by 1?
