How would you feel about making gelid cryotheum the primary coolant for engines? You could nerf water in the TE fuel config so they can start out with it but eventually need to transition into the cryotheum. Balance it to go water -> ice -> cryotheum. That way coolant could be tiered like you have tiered machines with Metallurgy. Since, even with finite water, there is no reason to ever use better coolant because water is so efficient and plentiful.Did you empty that by hand? Ermagerd...
Yeah, I'll reinstate the compressed sawdust in 1.0.5. Hopefully have the loot tables done too. (maybe)
Yeah, I know it already has it tiered like that. But, with the default values there is no reason to use the other coolants, as I said in my previous post. I meant to balance it around the new value you use for the water.Code:coolants { I:cryotheum=4000000 I:ice=2000000 I:water=400000 }
its already set that way. I guess I could drop water down to 100000 maybe
Also, as far as I know, the ice it is referring to is Forestry's crushed ice, which is not in your modpack. Would you be able to add your own liquid ice? Keep in mind that the Glacial Precipitator can make ice blocks and snowballs very cheaply, so you'd have to find a way to balance that if you use those.Code:coolants { I:cryotheum=4000000 I:ice=2000000 I:water=400000 }

The compression dynamos need liquid coolant. What other mod adds liquid ice?nope, that should be the regular ice. the other would be nitrogen iirc
anyone else having problems with new stock recipe not working. it shows up in nei and when i make the recipe it puts the stock on the left but i cant take it. hrmmm?
thanks
my recipe says fresh water + pot + mixing bowl + food item. but does not workIt's working fine for me. Freshwater + pot + food item right?

I think the original recipe was mixing bowl + pot + food item.
Currently in NEI i'm seeing mixing bowl + pot + food item + freshwater, and while it shows two stock as the end result, I can't pull it out of the crafting table.
Also had the same problem with cranberry juice, but other juices seem fine.
I really want to play this mod, it seems like so much fun. I just cannot get it to work correctly, every time I start a new world and try to play I get so much lag and eventually my game just becomes a slideshow and I can't play. Is there someway to fix this?
Yes, just like how Steam is treated as a fluid.Liquid.... ice?
Not a technical problem, just that it's far too easy with the default cooling value of water. As I explained in my previous post, you are capable of producing 960 million RF with a small lake of water, which does not seem to be consistent with the intent of this modpack. For reference, an equal quantity of lava can only produce 282 million RF. Of course, you need a primary fuel, but getting one is very easy. Some people complain that lava is too easy, yet water is 3.5x more efficient.Is there some problem/bug with just using water/ice that is already available?
Code:coolants { I:cryotheum=4000000 I:ice=2000000 I:water=400000 }
What do you mean by "regular ice"? The ice block (79) does not work for any dynamo. Also, which nitrogen works as coolant?nope, that should be the regular ice. the other would be nitrogen iirc
That is because the Magma Crucible is moved to late-game. Rather than making resources valuable, it prolongs the time required to acquire it while not addressing the initial problem. For example, the Steam Dynamo recipe changed to require a bit more redstone, iron, tin and copper. You also have to manually fill it with water because the Aqueous is end-game and the Pump is late-game. So, you just have to live near water and fill the engine whenever it runs out. This does not address the issue of the fuels being very easy/abundant nor the high amount of energy obtained from it.Water and Lava are only going to be easy to get once you have a an Enerthermic Pump. And with tech high enough to make liquid cryotheum, what is it that you are think people will have too much power for? Quarry? ME system? At that point, it's not going to cause someone a lot of pain to get more coolant for a system
Yes, I'm not very fond of them. Though, as it stands, you don't even need to use this or TE, because the Tinker smelter is so cheap and efficient. In fact, the smelter is free with enough lava to process your first several stacks of ingots if you find a village.If we were limited to just the dynamos, I'd agree more, as it would be putting another barrier in the way. But we also have the gnerators in this pack, which don't even need cooling.
