Any possible to way add me? im 41 years old and have a couple friends that would love to join me. 3 or 4 tops. let me know. I'de love to play on this pack.
And if you ever need help with anything. I can try to help. Ran servers for years.

Thanks. I couldn't find a "recruitment forum" Probably due to having a severe abscess tooth that snot making me think straight.

Thank you for the consideration

Brief 1.0.4 changelog

lots of mod updates. this includes a private build of iguana tweaks for TiC done by prog with iguana's permission specifically for jaded and I.
many recipe updates

coal and 2 sticks now makes two torches
charcoal is now made by smelting sawdust. sawdust can be obtained from the sawmill or the crusher
red alloy now crafted from the tinker's smeltery
M3 alloy recipe changes (special thanks to glassmaker for adding this for me)

backpacks changes

strongboxes no longer craftable, will be added to dungeons once the loot system is done

lots of changes to the AI. should be no more lag from the AI, but they will aggressively hunt you now

started setting up some Lore items for some things

optional wood nerf recipes included. these can be enabled by opening the main.cfg in config/minetweaker and removing the # in front of # include "BnBWoodNerf.cfg"; and # include "BnBBoPWoodNerf.cfg";

probably other things i forget

Good change, many Evil Points for you. Coal is quite useful now for torches, vs not being worth the risk of mining.

Just gonna say, absolutely love this pack! I've been addicted to it for the past few days now, but I've had to disable special mobs because of the horrendous TPS problems on it.

Since 1.0.4 got released today, I thought I'd give special mobs a try, and I've ran into quite a big problem. After a good few minecraft days, hidden in holes, and up a 15 block sky base, I've yet to find a non-lycanite mob. I thought it was weird, so I did /cofh killall. The only hostile mob it found was 1 vanilla zombie. I'm gonna do some more testing, to see if I can find out what the problem is :x

Update: So, I tried looking all around the world for some mobs. Found 1 doom creeper, and the rest of the mobs I found where from spawners. Checked the nether, low pigmen spawn rates. Checked the End, and everything was fine (But jeez, I couldn't kill the freaking dragon on creative mode! How the hell do you do it normally!?)

So, I thought I'd try it without Biomes o' Plenty. Disabled BoP, loaded up a world, and turned it to night. Although there was an initial laggy period, the mobs started spawning as they should have, and all was fine. So I'm guessing the new update causes some kind of conflict with BoP and special mobs.

Isn't this a huge buff? Before it was 8 sawdust -> 1 compressed sawdust -> smelt -> 1 charcoal. Now it's more profitable than smelting the log directly into charcoal, and hugely more profitable than the default sawdust.

Default config
Saw 8 logs = 800 RF * 8 = 6400 RF
8 sawdust -> 1 compressed sawdust
Smelt 1 compressed sawdust = 1600 RF
8 logs * 6 = 48 wood
48 wood = 26,880 RF
1 charcoal = 20,000 RF
48 wood + 1 charcoal = 46,880 RF
Energy profit = 38,880 RF per 8 logs (4860 per log)

Blood N Bones
Saw 8 logs = 800 RF * 8 = 6400 RF
Smelt 8 sawdust (1600 * 8) = 12,800 RF
8 logs * 6 = 48 wood
48 wood = 26,880 RF
8 charcoal = 160,000 RF
48 wood + 8 charcoal = 186,880 RF
Energy profit = 167,680 RF per 8 logs (20,960 per log)

actually, pre this change you could still use the metallurgy crusher to produce 2 sawdust per log per charcoal/coal used (increasing by teir.) with the steel crusher you can produce 12 sawdust per charcoal with a recipe already in place to turn 1 saw dust into 1 charcoal. I may have buffed the sawmill with the charcoal change, but a properly set up processing facility, you could already produce 240000RF from 6 logs for the cost of 1 charcoal, you know an energy profit of 220000RF with a steam dynamo. coupled in the fact that water is finite, even using a pump, until you defeat the ender dragon AT LEAST once to create an AA and the buff to the sawmill is trivial.

edit: on second thought, I will change this in 1.0.5 to add the compressed sawdust back in. but at a 4:1 ratio instead of an 8:1 ratio.

And suddenly solar power becomes so much more usable, even with the store/output limitation that people complain about.

A miracle of solar power production, plus amazing harvester/planter setup, feeding into a compact sawmill and powered furnaces.....

....Just so i can have a torch to go explore a dungeon and get punked by some spiders..this is what I want in a modpack.

Ah, my experience with Metallurgy machines is fairly limited.

You can produce ~68,000 RF with a Steam Dynamo per bucket of water. A fairly small lake of water, like in the below image, has a deceptively high amount of water; 14,100 buckets. Excluding charcoal processing and pump costs, you could produce nearly 960 million RF just from this lake and charcoal. For comparison, that would allow you to process 1,712,143 ore into 3,424,286 ingots using a pulverizer + redstone furnace combo; more if you used an induction smelter. You don't need the AA; over 53,000 stacks of ingots is not trivial. On top of this, if you don't care about turning the ocean into stone, you essentially have unlimited water.

Although finite water is more difficult than infinite water, the high availability far exceeds a reasonable consumption. The pump's increased cost prolongs set-up time rather than making water a truly finite and valuable resource. There is too much water and/or engines don't consume enough of it.

Did you empty that by hand? Ermagerd...

Yeah, I'll reinstate the compressed sawdust in 1.0.5. Hopefully have the loot tables done too. (maybe)

I emptied it with the Buildcraft pump in a different modpack, to test the water quantity and to provide a visual without it being replaced with stone.

...replaced with stone? Can the enderthermic pump work with water? I was just starting to work on making one, when the meteor shower started. Went on for quite some time, and made me realize that maybe trusting to that Mark2 Meteor Defense gun working on them was being a little too hopefull. There are ores as far as the eye can see, covering my castle, trees, lake, crops...just goes on and on. The cleaner picked up 1720 lose blocks, but that was after I was running around for a while, (and heard the squeaks of at least one delighted kobold at work helping me).

The defense gun forces the meteors to airburst if it would land in its circle of protection. This prevents structural damage and prevents the meteor from killing you out right.

since the 1.0.4 update I've lost my minimap. I'm sure it's an easy solution but try as I may I can't seem to figure out how to turn it back on
