Don't hold me to this, I haven't used the ritual before, but apparently Blood Magic's Ritual of Gaia's Transformation can change the biome.

Since this was left somewhat in the air, I can confirm that the Gaia ritual will change the biome. However, you must restart the client (single player) or the server and client (multiplayer) for the biome change to "register" for the bees and apiaries. The client restart is documented, but I spent some time puzzled as to why my bees weren't working and no error messages were showing in the apiary interface until I decided to try a server restart. So result is conveniently located condensed biomes:

Note that you will need a fair amount of Blood Magic infrastructure for the ritual, but you can pick up the ritual blocks after completing the transformation and use them in the next area.
