Can I just say that I've rolled it back to 15? I really don't want to write out the story all over again..
Remember my character. It can sneak past almost anything as long as I have power in my suit. It is also a great hacker and knows almost everything about the institiute's public network (basic defense network included)
Not saying it woudn't be a challange. (cause i don't know where you are and the sepecific defenses in this location) But if I'd really want too. I'd probbably be able to do it with some help.

To be invisible light needs to pass through you/past you without any interference.
In order to see light needs to hit the back of our eyes and thus there is interference.
This makes it impossible to both see and be invisible at the same time not to mention the fact that it was a joke.
One thing I will say, which may have a huge impact on how you want to build your character: You are field agents. Nobody gets to hide away at the base. As a member of the Institute, you have been sent out to fight because the drones aren't enough.You are an on-scene presence.
Also laptops? Really? You could have a retinal display with a keyboard implant in your arm and you went with a laptop? I am disappoint
