Can anyone help me with something? I don't understand how to make an intra-linking book from mystcraft, seeing as the link modifier has no crafting recipe.
You have to drop a piece of gold dust inside the black circle in the Ink Mixer. You'll see the circle flash for a bit and there's a chance the page you pull out will have intra-linking on it. The more pieces you drop in, the higher the chance of getting it - with diminishing returns. You might also get some other effects like Generate Platform and Disarm

Made a small example on how you can automate the setup of toggling different power solutions on and off when the turbine is not enough using EnderIO in case that would be of interest:

Wow. That's going to take a bit of time for me to digest. I've never been quite comfortable with automation in Minecraft - I even do manual sorting of chest inventories - but I'm trying to step up for the group of people I'm playing with. This will definitely come in handy. =^_^=

If per chance you cannot use Gold Dust, Ender Pearls also work, but they have a higher chance of getting Disarm I beileve.

The benefit of running turbines is that your power output/efficiency is something like 5-10x with the same size reactor/amount of fuel. Disadvantages is that you cannot toggle it on and off at a whim. The turbines have a long spinup time to get to the proper RPM ranges(900 or 1800RPM), so you want to keep them running constantly.
Hm, I wonder if you could chuck a fast-spinning turbine into AE spatial storage, and bring it back out at the same speed it went in...

You could possible disengage the coils and then have it run on lower steam. But would take some doing to balance that out to make it run at the same RPM.

Lots of materials can give Intra-Linking. Deal is most have equally high or greater chance of giving something else as well.
Preferable would be Diamond dust as it have high chance of Intra-linking with only positive extra effects. But it is probably a bit too expensive.
You can see a full list here(although I think this have changed over versions so not really sure how much to trust it):

I gave myself a complete Thaumonomicon in my creative test world, and now I keep getting warp effects. Is there any way (cheaty, creative, NBT editing, extra mod, etc.) to remove or disable them? This is latest DW20 pack.

You can disable them in the config by turning on the "wuss mode"
Other than that there's certainly a way using NBT editing

Run these three commands and you should get rid of the warp completelly.

/tc warp <username> set 0
/tc warp <username> set 0 temp
/tc warp <username> set 0 perm

Are there any new machines (meaning excluding the multifarm) that auto harvest IC2 rubber tree resin holes?

Turtles can. Just give them a tap and have them check the matadata of the block to know whether to harvest it or not, using turtle.place() to harvest the rubber.

Fruit Pickers from mfr can work with ic2 rubber trees, I dunno if there anything else other than this, turtles and multifarms.

Sometimes I wish Thaumcraft have golems that you can give a tool and tell them to use it.
The "Use" cores can kind of do that... at least, they can right-click and place blocks. They can't left-click, though, so you can't use them as personal mining assistants.

Which would be neat, but I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that Azanor doesn't want to do things like that. Probably because the arcane bore already can.

Arcane bore is fine.
I just want to automate Ex Nihilo Hammer without using the tech options.
Right now, only Thaumic Tinkerer offers that option.
Plus, even if the golems can use mining picks, they are tethered to a small area. I'll still use the arcane bore for large mining operations.

And I should add Archimedes Ships...

I haven't played modded Minecraft for more than brief stints over the past year. The last time I messed around with Big Reactors, turbines didn't exist. The simple question: Are turbines necessary in current Big Reactors, or is it possible to run a reactor that doesn't use turbines? If it's possible, what are the advantages and disadvantages of turbines?

Nope you can still run normal passive reactors.

Therefore use them as your backbone power solution and then perhaps passive reactor(s) or other power solutions to toggle on and off during peak power needs.

Just to add onto what @rhn said (great answer by the way!): cost is one disadvantage of turbines - both in terms of the extra resources and particularly in terms of time - as you need the cyanite produced by a reactor to build the turbine! This is a temporary problem however. The only other issue is potentially one of lag, but (unconfirmed) I believe that if you use no glass in the turbine, it doesn't render the blades, helping that issue a bit.

Cheers!

I've got a little problem. My yeta wrench is not able to do the "shift-left-click" to open the GUI of the connected conduits. So far no problem but now I wanted to install some conduit switches and here I need this to set my channels and so on.
Can anyone help me please?
