Never saw those before Agrarian Skies, so sorry, don't have a proper answer...couldn't you plant the 3 you have and farm them?
They way they work is different than normal Cactus. They "finished" cactus will spawn fruits after rainstorms. Tried planting the 3 pieces of the cactus and tried to make it rain through several different means, but didnt get any fruits to spawn. Suppose it needs an actual rainstorm.

Ended up cheating in a stack of fruits so I could just plant some new ones. Already wasted enough time flying around looking for them just for a single cosmetic detail :P

I have a question that involves Barrels and ME so I'm certain it's been asked. I am using ME Precision Export Bus's to put items into barrels to store them and have another bus hooked to a trash can take out the overflow. Is it possible to hook up ME so that I can request items and not have to worry about the trash can sucking out the rest and leaving me with none?

Use a storage bus instead of those two. It'll route everything that can fit in the barrels to them.

You will want to use Storage Bus as Padfoot mentions on both the Barrel and the Trashcan and then use Priority to ensure that the Barrel is filled up first and only when the barrel is full it goes to the Trashcan.

Made a little guide explaining how to set this up:

They do spawn.

So I made another world, and searched again. No oysters. Made another world, using default terrain generation: boom - oysters. (And coral and a bunch of other mariculture stuff I have not seen on my Monster server or SSP worlds that use highlands generation.)

So, new question: Do oysters spawn when using highlands? I think that the answer is no...

I cant talk about Monster 1.1.2, but all the Mariculture spawns just fine in Monster 1.1.1 with ATG+BoP+Highlands worldgen.

Fair enough. I should have clarified, I don't know where they spawn normally (deserts, I suppose?) on a non-void map. I did plant a couple, and while it seemed to take FOREVER, they did eventually grow, then finally fruit.

An (imo) easier option, if using JABBA barrels (which idk if it's the case) is to simply add a void upgrade and put a storage bus to it (maybe set the priority i Dont remember if its needed). That way you Dont need to set another system just to dump items

In my experience, this does not work. It SHOULD, but doesn't.

That's the system I'm using and it does work.
Just tested this out in Monster 1.1.1 as well and I cannot get the Void upgraded Jabba barrels to accept any further items upon being filled. Not using the ME storage bus. Items will simply go to some other free storage, despite it being lower priority. You will have to force the items to go into the barrel using something like a ME Export bus.

And honestly all this is great if you store all your items in barrels. But it does not work if you store items in any other storage like chests or ME storage disks. In my current Monster world I am destroying over 130+ different items. Having to set up a JABBA barrel for each of them would be... The deletion method I linked earlier using Priority becomes much easier in this case as you can just add the item you want deleted upon overflow to the storagebus(add more storage bus after you filled the first 54 filter slots) on the deletion mechanism.
