It's usually simple. Either using the tool, or manually renaming the files to add a .disabled to the end of the mod names in the directory.
I've tried both methods. Sometimes nothing happens at all when I try through the launcher. If I manually rename them in the folder to disabled they then show as disabled in the launcher, but then if I create a new world, I've got the disabled mods in the game anyway.

I've also tried deleting them entirely, and if I'm online the launcher automatically replaces them before the game starts so that doesn't work unless I ALWAYS stay offline when I play that world or I have to repeat the whole process again.

Great, making it more complicated... Way to go, IC2 crew... :/

I need your help again...:
Is it possible to use transfer pipes (with a liquid transfer node, of course) to transfer creosote oil from a portable tank into a Railcraft iron tank and if so, how?
I already set it up how it should work: Portable tank (set to output), liquid transfer node on top and a transfer pipe connected to the valve (bottom in the middle) of the tank. The transfer node takes all the liquid but doesn't transfer it and I didn't manage to make it put it back into the portable tank...
I could offer several much simpler ways to do it, but I'm unfamiliar with the method you're trying to use.

Then go ahead and tell me. ;)

I already tried using the BC waterproof pipes (can't remember the new name): With a wooden pipe+redstone engine & a golden one (still trying to pump it into the bottom valve) but it also doesn't work - the creosote oil gets sucked into the pipes but never enters the tank.
I'll try fluiducts later when I'm able to produce RF.

You don't need any kind of RF power to work with fluiducts, just a crecent hammer. Then put the portable tank on top of one of the fluiducts and change the tank to output. And make sure you are inputing into a railcraft tank valve.

Wasn't sure if you wanted that information specifically, or just solutions ;)

In my experience, pretty much any fluid transfer solution will work with a portable tank, but unless you have some sort of motive power, you need to pull from the bottom. The easiest way to drain a p-tank into an RC tank is to have a valve block on the top of the RC tank. Put a pipe on top of that and switch your p-tank to export from the bottom, and gravity should do the rest.

Strictly speaking you wouldn't even need a pipe with that setup. Just P Tank > valve and hit it with a crecent hammer.

I'm trying to look up the file sizes of the various packs, so I can plan to find some public wifi and spend some time downloading. Help?

I need RF to make the hardened glass for the fluiducts - already got the Induction Smelter but no way to power it since the electrical engine only outputs MJ. :/

The problem is, I don't have any space above because the tank is in the cellar, so I have to put the portable tank below the RC tank and then the transfer node takes the liquid but doesn't pump it up to the valve. It's the same thing with the BC waterproof pipes, although I'd really prefer the transfer pipes.

Edit: Just messed with it a little bit in Creative and "Great", Fluiducts also don't pump the water up....

All right, two options; put a pipe sticking out from the valve and put the tank on top of that, or use a wooden waterproof pipe to the top of the p-tank with a redstone engine attached, to a non-wooden waterproof pipe attached to the RC tank. To the best of my knowledge, either should work.

Unfortunately both don't work because (and I guess that's the cause) the fluid doesn't get pumped up far enough to enter the tank.
Regarding the 2nd option: Non-waterproof and waterproof pipes don't connect and if I use two waterproof ones (usually wood+redstone engine & gold) I see the liquid get pumped up to the Valve but not into it.

That's quite odd, although I haven't worked with fluids in such a manner in quite a while. Another option, of it's in your pack, might be to try draining the tank into a DLT2 tank first, or even build a smaller RC tank and transfer from there. Also, you might try adding a second engine to the wood pipe, or use a stronger one.

Unfortunately still no success with 2 engines and there isn't enough room for another RC tank. What's DLT2?

Ah, it's working, I needed to hold down F3 and press A. It doesn't fix the black chunk trenches in the world though, I had to relog to fix that. Thanks.
Just as an addendum to this, you can go in the opposite direction of the "black trenches" until the area around them unload, then go back in that direction. There's a pretty good chance they will load the next time you enter within range of them.

Is it possible to disable the huge "forward-drop" on when wearing Modular Powersuits?

Example:
I have Boots of the Traveler and when I do a jump i loose all my forward speed due to the powersuit :/
I haven't seen that myself- but do you have a Sprint Boost module in your MPS pants? If not, try installing one and see if that fixes it.

It might be that the speed boost from the Boots of the Traveler only works on the ground, or that the powersuit limits your speed if you don't have its own speed booster thing.

It's possible that Railcraft tanks no longer accept fluids from the bottom. Have you tried sticking a valve in the side of the tank?

Also, opaque fluiducts, although not as pretty as the transparent version, do not require hardened glass. Just lead and copper ingots, if I remember correctly. You should be able to mount one of those- or a stone/gold waterproof pipe- on a valve on the side or top of the RC tank and stick your portable tank atop it, with no need for redstone engines, pneumatic servos, or anything else of that nature. Just wrench the portable tank into orange mode, and make sure that the arrows on the fluiduct are pointing in the right directions.
