Using Custom Main Menu, how do I get rid of the forge splash screen showing MC version and number of mods in the bottom-left of the screen?

I'm not sure exactly where to ask this, so I'll start here. Pam's Harvestcraft wells (or sinks, or whatever) appear on NEI as tile.sink.name and I'm wondering what causes this. It shows on WAILA, too. I'm on Infinity (not skyblock).

My OCD is killing me...

People like grinding cobble?

As far as modded play goes I think it has everything to do with ex nilio. It trivializes material acquisition but requires automation. When you set it up you become free to construct whatever machines you please, the lack of any terrain means unlimited space and no terraforming. However building vertically is a challenge.

Personally I'm in your boat, I don't get the appeal either. You grind cobblestone for an hour or so sift for another hour then you end up in a slow creative mode once everything is automated.
It's boring amd lack a lot of interesting aspects of the game.

Other than terraforming , skyblock and non skyblock are the same exact thing regarding materials. In Skyblock(sb) you do sift materials to get your ores, in non skyblock(nsb) you cave to get your ores, both will consume hours of your time. In sb after you get automation you do have practically unlimited amount of materials over time, in nsb after you get a quarry you have unlimited amount of material. Btw even in skyfactory which is a very easy skyblock pack you're not getting anywhere close to automation in an hour but i can say i can get a quarry down faster than i can get fully automated of ores

Ive always been one for automation and making things work together, ive never been one to spend weeks on a huge project for cosmetic reasons but i do try to make my stuff look decent but its pretty basic. I know plenty of people that really enjoy the cosmetic building but its not for me. Everyone enjoys different things and thats what makes modded minecraft so great, People have made many different packs and there's something for everyone :)

Ahhh! So there is a use for longer lives. I was under the impression that a bee was guaranteed to produce a set number of stuff in each life cycle. Hence why people chose shorter life spans.

Unless everything has changed, a bee will have a chance to produce its combs/produce each "bee tick", which is 27.5 secs(I think).

Since even the best bee automation takes time to re-mate the bees, you really want as long a lifespan as possible for producing bees. But while you are crossbreeding and copying bees you generally want as short a lifespan as possible(This is where the chocolate frames can come in handy).

If you want more combs etc. you should just use the cheap Untreated/Treated/Proven Frames. Difference between those is durability, not effect. Generally it is cheapest to just use Untreated frames(unless they are tweaked).

I'm not sure if I'm rusty or what but I'm playing Infinity Evolved Skyblock and I noticed the hoe's are crafting only and I'm not sure how to get started with agricraft because I can't put crop sticks down without tilled dirt. Can anyone figure out my probie mistake(s)?

I'm playing the original agrarian skies but whenever I pick an item up in the bottom right hand corner of the screen it says X1 birch sapling or X1 cobblestone whenever I pick it up what mod does this and how do I stop it?

Nevermind, fixed it, its in CoFH core for anyone else wondering, that was driving me absolutely nuts!

Does anyone know how to actually recharge thaumcraft wands in Infinity Evolved Skyblock? There don't seem to be any aura nodes anywhere.

Disclaimer; I don't play that pack, but....

Is there some way to manufacture a Silverwood sapling? Every now and then a SW tree will grow with a Pure Node inside it. However that seems like a very slow way to do it

Someone (Watchful I believe) posted a couple days ago that the bottom of the world spawns nodes. Which means you will need to figure out a way to get down there without splutting.

Yes there is but it's basically useless here as it requires thaumcraft infusion first. Then you can just easily replicate a ton of them with botania + magic bees but the first needs thaumcraft infusion to get.

Kill mobs and have the wand on your hotbar
Ohhh no way. I heard about that but I was wondering why I wasn't getting vis. It's cause the wand wasn't on my hotbar!

Yeah, before you have non-iron-capped wands, this is really the best way to do it. Especially in a skyblock when your mobtraps tend to get a lot of traffic.

I'm thinking it would be easiest to use the rope ladder from openblocks to go all the way down to the y=0 and then build from there. Obviously you'd have to be careful not to fall off the end of it, however.

Only problem I have with that is the fact that I can't seem to figure out how to build my mob farm so that I still have a window to hit enemies through but still have it able to collect exp and loot. It's quite annoying when drops fall out of the little windows and I end up picking them up or when exp orbs get stuck and I'm blinded because a whole swarm of them is cluttering my screen since they can't actually be collected through the wall.

Chuck a vacuum hopper underneath the farm to collect those for you?

Believe me, I've tried that. Can't suck items through half slabs. And I've tried using projectred hollow slabs and the like, but the problem with that is for some reason not all of the xp is able to get through even though the items can. Additionally, even using a vacuum hopper sometimes the items still somehow manage to find their way to me. Like, they just shoot out of the sides.

Consider using the Vacuum Hopper for just XP, and use a Botania Hopperhock to collect drops, since it can collect through solid blocks. Note that I'm not playing the pack currently, so I've no idea if you can access them before starting into TC.

That's why you include a hole in the floor that it's in, just chuck a hollow cover on top or something so items can get through but mobs can't. That and put it near your kill hole to lower chance of items escaping.
