Any ideas on this steam fluid? I am just confused.

What is causing this? I updated thermal expansion to 3.0.0.2 and still nothing, Is it railcraft bug or thermal expansion bug? I cannot figure this out, the textures are fine in the corresponding folders aswell. Is it just a rendering bug? Can someone point me in the right direction on how I would go about fixing this, is there a new build of thermal expansion that fixes this?

Also if you can, could you link me to the new thermal expansion github or jenkins or whatever you want to call it so I will be able to download dev builds? Thank you.

It's actually neither RC or TE. A few other mods add steam as well.

Mine is missing texture+Liquid fueled boiler. Fun!

It changed when I re-installed, before that it was liquid lead+brick.

Factorization also has steam (possibly the problem? Not sure if Factorization steam is intended to be rendered). At least stuff works and isn't crashing despite texture derp.

I think the problem is that you for some reason put planks and lava in your steam dynamo.

Go in to your mods folder and capitalize the first letter of every mod. Please do post back if that fixes it.

Would this have the same root cause as all the NEI liquids being borked? Regular recipes still work if you know them, but all the NEI lookups (for forestry liquids especially) return odd stuff like coolant in place of seed oil.

In Forge 953 there is a bug with liquid sorting or something. This fix is integrated into Forge 965 which is why everyone should be using it.

This is a bug involving vanilla and txture mapping sheets. For some reason it most frequently pops up if Factorization and Railcraft are installled at the same time. Its not currently fixable. The sort fix fixes fluids registering incorrectly between server and client. It does nothing for a liquid getting the wrong texture.

You can currently fix it by pulling either Factorization or Railcraft. Or you can do what I do and pretend its a fun game to see what texture the steam picks each day.

I find its better then me getting upset over something that none of the mod devs can fix. It doesn't effect gameplay so *shrug*... no one has ever accused me of being positive before

Speaking of random texture lottery ... I just upgraded to 1.0.5, and I'm getting this nifty affect with a different one on each load.

Is this on purpose? I mean the ones below look fine, but on time I got the note block texture, and another time one which I don't even recognise which looked plain weird.

I believe it's Random Things that does that...
