can someone recommend something violent, gory, with decent story and with minimum of morality preaching?
That's like asking for somebody to remove the addiction factor from heroine without completely removing the brain's adaptability. Painful, time consuming, and annoying.
But I wouldn't know. I'm not an anime fanatic
Closest I can think of would be Hellsing, I can't remember if it was preachy but I am pretty sure it isn't.

Have you seen Deadman Wonderland or Elfen Lied. Pretty sure they'll provide your gore, can't remember how preachy they get.
i've seen wonderland and quite liked it, got a bit disappointed when it's ended.
i did try watching Elfen Lied, but i didn't find much of a story so i stopped.
You should watch it till the end. It has a story, you may not notice it until the end though.
