Hey, you try beating that godforsaken spirittomb without any action replays, and nothing except some of the best pokemon you had and a god damn Torterra.
It was so easy! XD I sweeped her with just my Torterra.
Fuck you, that was my first Pokemon game and I had no idea what EVs or IVs even were. Hell, I never even bred anything. You try doing something like that and let's see how far you get, o pokemon sensei who has apparently completed every god damn challenge on the list.
Well it had over 400 Special Attack, with a moveset of Psychic, Recover, Shadow Ball, and Focus Blast. It could basically one shot quite a wide variety of pokemonNot sure whether to facepalm or highfive you for that.
I don't ever bother with IV's or EV's on my first play through. I just grind like a motherf***er. :3
EVs increase depending on what pokemon you battle. Therefore, if you were grinding a specific pokemon (like only absols or something, as an example) then you were grinding a specific stat.
Even if you didn't, I highly doubt that you're telling the truth. Almost everybody I know who actually plays pokemon agrees that the elite four from pearl and diamond are the hardest in the series, let alone the champion.
Are you kidding? Cynthia may be the hardest champion, but on sheer strategy and moveset alone the Unova elite four far outrank any other. And yeah I realise that, it isn't really EV training if you do it like that though because the pool becomes so polluted.
EDIT: Also really? You think I'm lying? Torterra is a very powerful Pokemon with a very solid moveset. I had my Torterra at level 70 by that point as well, it isn't hard to sweep at that point.
i remember i got torchic all evolved and like either level 79 or 127 in ruby (on gameboy) (i was bored with my gameboy, lots of time and warmth by the generator on the roof of my houseboat (got the game from someone who had every pokemon even all legendaries but I was an idiot and deleted the save ) too bad it got destroyed (the gameboy)
