Currently experiencing some startup crashes.. I had 2.1.2 on my MP server and thought it was a version issue, but when i finished updating to 2.1.6 it was still in effect. This have happened before on another world but never bother to look into it.. Since ive been spending so much time on this map, i'd thought it would be a good idea to share the problem. I think its related to Thaumcraft since the client have been running perfectly fines for a couple of weeks and i was just about to take on Oh wizard steve questpath and thats when it started to happen. It never crashed while in game, but when trying to log in again it crashes. It won't even render the world before the crash.

Looking at the dump, the first "modish" related thing i can find is
java.lang.NullPointerException
at net.minecraft.tileentity.TileEntity.func_70311_o(TileEntity.java:224)
at net.minecraft.tileentity.TileEntity.func_85027_a(TileEntity.java:283)
at net.minecraft.client.renderer.tileentity.TileEntityRenderer.func_76949_a(SourceFile:111)
at thaumcraft.client.renderers.block.BlockTubeRenderer.renderInventoryBlock(BlockTubeRenderer.java:53)

so its pretty early on where its mentioning thaumcraft.. guess it sends some tube to rendering with null..

Here is the complete dump:

Can anyone help me. I was playing on my laptop and was think of moving over to my desktop. Anyway I could move why save file over?

From the FTB install folder which you selected when you first ran the launcher: AgrarianSkiesHQ/minecraft/saves/(name of your world). Install AS on your desktop and copy that whole folder to the same relative place.

The first post says "liquid router dupe" was fixed in v1.2.3, but I'm playing v2.1.6 and my liquid routers are dumping out liquids constantly, even when the machines they're connected to are shutdown. This world is a few versions old, but I've only started using them after I updated.

I was playing with my friend, and out of nowhere, he fell through the world, and died, and since it was his final life, he was banned from the server. I don't even know how this is possible -_-

Forestry isn't registering as a mod. In the mods folder, it is there, but in the mod list, it isn't. This is causing missing IDs which doesn't allow me to enter any AGS servers.

I saw this mentioned once before, with no real answer or solution.

MFR harvester, shearing leaves from Natura trees, ie. Willow, Amaranth etc, leaves ID gets changed to block.leaves.name, and cannot be used in composting.

Unifier does not help, barrels flat out refuse them.

I can confirm this bug still exists 2.1.6 version of the pack. I am using the S version of Flat Platform.

Hi Guys,
I am at the end of my wits,

I have an issue with one quest.
"Fluid Management"
I crafted the
ME Fluid Import Bus and the
ME Fluid Export Bus

Both are in my inventory, but the questbook is still on 0% and i cant finish the quest,

I really love this game and want to continue, but this is making me crazy.
how can i complete the quest? is this a bug?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Dancingdice

I believe your answer may be in the first post..

Are you using the AE crafting to make the items? AE crafts too fast.[DOUBLEPOST=1401052489][/DOUBLEPOST]I am aware of the liquid router dupe. The only way I can solve this is to disable liquid routers. I cannot solve every dupe.[DOUBLEPOST=1401052588][/DOUBLEPOST]Let me clarify something. In regards to the suspected bug with 1024 player logins:

1. This is not the place to debate mod dev decisions

2. The devs offered to fix the supposed bug for 1.6. However due to limitations in 1.6, fixing that bug means resettting worlds and re-writing the quest book. The bug in question is a suspected bug where if too many players log into a server it MAY reset some quest books. Whereas the fix WILL require I rewrite the quest book and reset your worlds... all of your worlds. I decided I would rather have an issue that MAY effect a few players on a few servers than a fix that wipes everyone who plays Ag Skies. They are working on some new features. If they fix it now I won't be able to use the new features in Ag Skies without a world reset.

  • this doesn't effect everyone it's only an issue that MAY occur on very large servers
  • if it does occur the server owner can fix it with the edit command
  • fixing it means world resets for everyone and rewriting the quest book for Ag Skies
  • fixing it in the mod and me NOT updating to it results in no new features for Ag Skies
TLDR: I am the one who said I didn't need it fixed for 1.6. There are much more important bugs that effect more people.

I seem to be able to store fluid source blocks in a filing cabinet hooked up to an Applied Energistics storage bus. My filing cabinet emptied and i never but a filter on the bus and my milk farm and water gen started filling it. i have something like 100 water and 70 milk in it. i can take them out and use them as creative created source blocks and can store them back in as well.

And as a side note I've never done bees before and started on the bees quest line and it did not help me at all. I'm not saying this pack has to teach me everything but most quest chains start slow enough to help me learn them but bees just left me behind fast. It would be cool if there was an in game book to teach basic breeding. Just the true basics i mean. Take a forest then mix with meadows until you get a pure bred common would be good enough. once i knew how to get a common the rest was just mixing and having fun. but not knowing the difference between a "purebred" or how to make a mixed bee like a common or noble is annoying when this pack is amazing at teaching all the other (non mariculture :p) mods. If you don't want to take the time and don't mind someone else making the book ( if a book was decided to be put in) then i would write it even.

(edit) I just remembered, The quest for the multiblock bee hive thing (alviary?) doesn't say how to make that either. the whole quest chain for bees assumes the player knows bees. I had to spend quite a while looking around to find all the info online because the main forestry web site is missing info on things from Frames to the multiblocks. and the videos i had to look up are for older versions of FTB modpacks. As i said a book for new bee keepers or updated quest text would be nice. (or both because i like to read lots of info :D)

I am working on the bee thing. I think its going to be its own tutorial book and pack.

Thank you! :D I never touched bees till now because the info on it is fragmented across the internet. Now that i have started it isn't so bad. If there was a source of info on it ANYWHERE then it would help. One think i have to ask you add info on for sure are the frames. I had no idea what they did and even the magic bees pages in the thaum book had little to NO info on them.

Jadedcat is the modpack made like that so we cant share saves? Or is it some weird tech thing I have no clue about?

Talking of that first post, I've not been able to recreate this 'bucket dupe', no matter how many times I've tried. I get the right amount of buckets when filling emptying my vat/tanks etc. Is anyone who was having that, able to clarify exactly what was going on... I can't fix something, that I can't see is broken >.<

Actually I haven't had any complaints of that in a while... maybe its fixed?

Mostly its a limitation of what the mod was designed for. The pack was a fun thing for me and some friends. People liked the look... I expanded on the idea, and the HQM devs put a lot of effort into expanding the mod for us. The pack just became way more popular than anyone was expecting. Its the first mod to become popular for this type thing, it wasn't designed around having that many players.

I had no clue about bees either (or most mods for that matter), but I've been watching PurpleMentat's AS videos and learning a ton. In fact, I've just rewatched his bee episodes over the past few days to get started on them myself. Start with Ep 42 (
) and then every 3rd episode after that up to 54 he does bees...
