which doesn't keep up with a blaze shard in the slightest :(

more turrents?

Since you have them over the blazes you could run a whole ring of them around the kill box.

I suppose that would help a little. They're not really meant for this job though.
Also the blaze rods still get stuck when blazes die up against the iron bars. And there's a spot in the corner between teh lines of turrets where the blazes can hide safely. I think I'll have to move on from this silly idea :D

Also, they're turrets.

well then maybe, as it is something "different", set up a line of dispensers that shoot snowballs at them. They can be fed via the glacial precipitator for very little energy

why not just drop the buggers on water?
I did as well in the past, but now I am moving away from water & using conveyor belts on all grinder builds, liquids are about the only thing that still lags me a little, hmm the tried & trusted conveyor floor pushing to turtles, or just go all out mfr.

hmm what about that energy pulse emitter thing from portalgun mod, line of them on one side, meh aint sure of the reuse time or if you can spam it.

I don't want to use water because this will be a multipurpose grinder.

Here's my latest design, which is working apart from the xp orbs. I'll need to change what kind of conveyors I'm using (at least in part) to fix that.

The High energy pellets egor?

I'm 99% certain that's because the public RR soul shards grinders are (except for a specialist few, enderman as they teleport, witches as they, for some reason, don't drop anything if killed by HEPs, and Wither Skeletons, who are turtled so heads drop.
The fact that the HEPs work perfectly is exactly why he want something more unique.
Turtles, MFR, Water all done far too often.
HEPs done far too much on RR. Quicksand doesn't work on witches, which will eventually be added.
Turrets were the next thing that came to mind.

He could always backup to ANY of the above methods, but he chooses not to.

The public RR soul shards grinders are what? I don't think quite completed writing out that thought. And what is egor?

Oh and an update: I raised the spawner ceilign and also some of the glass and now endermen work too, yay! Now to try it with both shards on at once.

They're conveyors from Utils.
Don't drag exp along with them, just mobs.

Somehow I missed his post. Thank you for explaining. I haven't actually seen the HEP-using public spawners. The only one I've seen is Boss's wither one using a turtle, and I'm not even sure if it's still there.
Yeah, you're right about the extra utils conveyors. Without those the xp just loops :p

The one problem is that any items on the extra utils conveyor don't flow onto the mfr conveyor. But normally loose items don't get in there so it doesn't matter.

I made the soul shard, and tritachion (Freakscar/Kar EllEnn) set up the grinder.
Same with all the grinders there except the blaze and regular skeleton ones.
The <sorcery thing> one is a manual killer, and I think Way found that spawner.

Well it was one that was in the nether and was accessed by a dimdoor in his Facility. But I can't find the dimdoor anymore.

Probably because the nether was reset like 4 times between the start of the server and now.

I DO think I know what you mean, though I actually stumbled across it whilst traversing the nether after nether platinum Or something, and only got lost when I went through his door.

I actually found that one from the nether side and couldn't find Boss's door back to the nexus until he pointed it out. His facility is so big!

I thought I had a problem with the xp collector not taking orbs but I added two more conduit lines out from it to the tesseract and that fixed it. It was just too much volume. Oh and I had to go to 4 melee turtles if I want to cope with 2 shards going at a time.
[edit] actually no the problem was the receiving side wasn't working right for unknown reasons. I removed and replaced the tesseract there and now it's actually filling up the liquid transposer and magic converter properly. Weird.

Yup, the wither spawner was lost in the resets, and I still need to sort out that nether door.

It's good to know that a blaze spawner can back up that liquid xp collector, I want an alternative to using bees for xp in my base.
