I do have three dark cables - one activated/deactivated by a lever in my AE 'building' that's made of warded materials so I can cut it off from the outside if I want, and two in my Buildcraft/Industrialcraft building stopping the basic import busses on my Glass and coal dust setups so I keep a certain amount of both in inventory. As for power, I had thought of that as when I first *seemed* to notice it, it was night and had been raining for a bit, but it's being fed off a MFSU, which at that time, despite the extended rain and night, was still full... My AE system is pulling ~203 units at 'idle', and according to my EU-Reader, it seems an average of 128EU/t is leaving my MFSU (varies up as high as 256, it seems). Is it possible the crafting is saturating the MFSU and that I need a second in parallel to be able to feed 1024ET/t to the system?
With these ones I find that AE thinks it's in the process of making a sub-craft/submaterial and is waiting for it to return and it either doesn't get sent or is jammed or just acting weird.
What I do is back up the request and check that the items it needs are in the AE system and if not, did I setup a recipe to craft items it needs? If I did check the machine to see if anything is jamming it up.
So with cables it's glass and fluix dust, do you have glass, is there a recipe to smelt sand to glass if not?
With fluix dust it needs nether quartz dust, do you have the recipe for nether quartz dust setup and if so is the machine which makes it jammed?
Remember that to get AE to autocraft pre-requisite recipes it needs those recipes in a ME Interface attached to the machine needed to process the recipe.
So for nether quartz dust you may have an ME Interface attached to a pulverisor with the nether quartz > nether quartz dust recipe in the interface.
As a last resort do you have a macerator setup to make the nether quartz dust? If so you may want to try a pulveriser as there's another thread about which the player is having issues getting his macerator to chew up the nether quartz.
I'm quite sure it's not missing materials or recipes. Reason I say this is first, there's nothing listed in the crafting monitor. No missing materials, no materials being crafted. Nothing - the entire job just 'goes away'. second, as I said, if I tell it 64 ME cables (for example), I get 3, but if I keep saying one, I will keep getting the minimum 3 every time without pause. Same thing for basic import busses (for example). Tell it I want 4 and I get one. Keep requesting one and I'll get as many as I want without issue.
And yes, I have recipes for fluix, nether quartz dust, etc, and keep 52 glass on hand at all time with 64 'backed up' int he powered furnace that receives the sand from a pulverizer.
Edit: Pretty sure it's not power... I had a spare MFSU so I stuck that in in parallel to be able to supply 1024 EU/t to the AE system and same thing. Any other thoughts?
Edit2: I just re-read what Runo posted for about the third time and the lightbulb came on.... It WAS the dark cable being activated by the reduction in the amount of glass in inventory when crafting things like the ME cable.... I pulled the dark cable and level emitters and it's crafting properly now.
That's rather screwy... rather negates the entire benefit of the dark cable and level emitters... A bug maybe?
