Thanks, also, is there a way to get night vision early on so I don't have to play an inferior experience?

It's not inferior it's the way that everyone is playing. Since you don't want to do that just cheat the potion in.

@Turmfalke Huh, mk, so it's not ghost wheat or something then. Time to go down the list.
-Do you have Fluix crystals in your inventory?
-Do you have a sacrificial knife/orb in your inventory?
-One way to see if it's just a stuck debuff is to clear it, so temporarily cheat in a stack of "Pure" fluix crystals and see if your insanity goes up.
-Move far away from your residence during the day, with flowers on you, and see if that makes it go back up.
-Are you low health? That also seems to trigger it. If you are, cheat yourself back to full for a bit and see what happens.

You don't have to wait for the progression, you are welcome to go to the nether, grab a blaze rod and some soulsand/netherwart and craft your own potions, you can even enchant the tinker's construct goggles with night vision once you have the potion.


If the get stuff for killing mods thing stays in, could it be set up so that there are levels of turn in, like a kill 1, then a kill 5, then kill 20. I get down in my basement/bunker on blood moons and kill hundreds of mobs, it gets annoying having to turn in after every kill.

I don't know if one quest can reset another, but maybe do a progression, the first is kill 1, then 5, the a repeatable quest that is 10 or 20, and the reward is just the equivalent of turning in that many individual times. It isn't like mobs are hard to find in this pack, except the endermen that i couldn't farm effectively until i got the night vision.

I don't get this pack. Tried it, but I guess it's not for me. Combat itself in minecraft is horribly undeveloped, and no matter how you spice it up, it's just not the best aspect of what minecraft represents. So a mob devoted to combat? It just doesn't work right. I ended up quitting after facing several skeletons in a row that did nothing but regen every hit they took, so it was nothing more than a battle between two regens. Not to mention the two additions you put in this pack to add mob variety are my most hated, simply due to the lack of balance these packs have in them. It's completely random when and what you encounter and does not scale at all with where you are in the game. You very likely will end up facing up against mobs that will eat you alive right from the very beginning, simply based on RNG. These harder mobs should be reserved for areas you actually go visit once you are stronger, and those packs (extra mobs/ender zoo) just throw them around everywhere. You built a mod pack around progression, but the combat itself has a severe lack of it. Since the pack is primarily based on combat, it doesn't have anything to fall back on

answer to that one isnt too hard, when darkness falls and the monsters come out to play, stay inside, prey on the weaker mobs during the day or wait until morning and finish the hostiles off as they burn in the harsh light of day, at least until you progress enough to wander the night in moderate safety
not in the cemeteries though, stay away from them at night...

I never encountered mobs that "burned up" since they were all wearing full diamond armor from the start. What "weaker mobs" do you speak of? Regenerating skeletons in full diamond armor? If so, no thanks.

there werent as many in full armor for me, but I meant things like chickens and pigs etc, once you have some trapped to farm just go round slaughtering the rest
in this pack it seems you arent really supposed to be able to take on everything right from the start, you have to work for it a bit, and I quite like that about it

I agree with Drakyre here. My start was pretty tough too, but the best solution is to simply wait until night ends. Don't try to fight above your level and you won't die unless you get very unlucky, and running is almost always the best option. Though some mobs are overly evil (I'm looking at you, gatling explosive arrow skeletons)

yeah, running tends to help, seems the pack is well named:D
havent come across one of those yet khaotic, but I agree there are a few mobs that are rather unpleasant, gatling wither skeletons are the ones I hold a special place in hell for though, because they can kill you well after they die themselves
