[1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

I've been using a custom pack for a while. They're great if you have people to play with, everyone gets their must-have mods and people to play them with.

1.1.6 is pretty much 1.1.5, but I added a config option to turn off the fancy rendering since someone's graphics driver crashed because of it. If it works for you, go ahead and use it.

Ok, got a new version done. 1.2.0 is basically 1.1.7, but actually works (I tested it). The rename is because I'd like to keep versions in the format port.content.fix, not because it's really different underneath.

Thanks for the read. RemIM roughly complies with it, since a Minecraft version update is the most likely cause for a compatibility break. I'll try to remember to bump the major number if I break any public API.

The 1.7 port is in usable condition in source-code form (no crashes AFAIK, but the networking is currently notworking), but there is no release yet because Gradle isn't cooperating. I miss MCP...

Network handling is fixed (meaning carriages' fancy rendering works) and the new build is up. There's a bug with carriages being perfectly happy to move through blocks, so be warned.

I'd recommend staying on 1.6 for now, unless you're dying to play with the new 1.7 stuff.

I tried this mod once in 1.5.2 and it was impressive how smooth the movements were, compared to the almighty Eloraam's frames. Im definitely going to add it to my pack now, MFFS looks like a right PITA for moving blocks. Thanks for resurrecting a great mod!

So, I know nothing about moving-block mods. I never used RP2, or MFFS; as a result I'm not 100% clear on what these do.

In RotaryCraft, one of the early'ish-game things you need to do is gather bedrock dust by mining at bedrock level with a Bedrock Breaker block. Its a bit of a pita because there's a lot of infrastructure involved, and you only get a few dusts per mined area. Could I make a moving platform which would easily shift my bedrock-breaker operation a few blocks to the north or whatever without dismantling everything?

rotary craft blocks DO NOT like to be moved and will probably crash your game if you try.

Good info sir. Thanks for the warning.
I created something like this with this amazing mod in my Monster world. Had no Crashs. But I use a extreme simple setup with a magnetostatic engine powering the breaker directly. Don't know if big setups work too.

But remove the bedrock dust before moving the breaker. It got lost sometimes with my construction when it moved.

Any nice tricks to remove the dust? I'm guessing it can't be piped out, but could an autonomous activator + vacuum hopper do it?
