Figured it out: the carrige engine is the thing whitch is not working at all.
it seems that only the motor works, i might be wrong.

Hey!
i love the hollow frame carriages, but how do you close the sides on them? the screwdriver doesn't seem to work?

Edit:
I have tried stone covers, but they don't work -is it a bug? :)

screwdriver works fine, right click on one end of each line of the frame blocks.

What if you, make the screwdriver as a buildcraft wrench? (that seems to be tthe standard) Or, maybe the project red screwdriver?

Hey,
i've been using the screwdriver, and i'm talking about the setup as described in the picture below:

I've been trying to use the screwdriver on all four sides, like the top, right, bottom and left of the block, but that doesn't work either. All those clicks on this side, and i'm not holding shift.
The opening/closing works smoothly with the other frames, so i guess this is a bug or just intended to be that way?

How you got ducts inside them?
Closing them supposed to be a right click.

i think i can work it out whith only the motor, by using frames pushing each other (like the force manipulator). Sideways movement will be interesting.

New in RemIM:

Hollow carriages: These are basically frame carriages that are ForgeMultipart parts. You can run FMP tubes down the middle, just like in the good old days of RedPower. Craft them with 8 carriages on the edges of the crafting grid.

-snip-

It's a new thing, crafted like above, and you place down your duct, and then put the frame on it, but i can't close the sides for some reason, i hope it's a bug :p
Otherwise my idea af a frame boring machine might die (i hope not)

EDIT:
I'm on the 1.2.0 for minecraft 1.6.4

Closing sides isn't implemented yet on hollow frames, and their shape doesn't allow combining with panels so far (I hope there's an easy way to change that without having to make a huge mess, but I doubt it).

Assuming that template carriages in this work in the same way as the original RIM you could use those.

Platform carriages might be what you want, you just need some walkable block to fill the space (torches can be placed on frames, and keep monsters from spawning inside the bore head). Bores made with platform carriages tend to have trouble with liquids in front of the carriage.

You could also do it the way RedPower bores worked before they added tube frames.

They do.

Hey all,
I decided to go with the template carriages, and i'm building it as of now, going to make a 4-wide and 64 high head, so kind of excited how that goes!

RemIM: Translocators to teleport blocks, transduplicators as a creative building tool, template, support and platform carriages to powerfully specify carriage shapes, can run FMP cables through multipart carriages

Truss: Support for RP2-style microblock control with both FMP and Immibis Microblocks, support for BC and IC2 energy, cool models, special handling for multiblock structures

I hope to support RP2-style microblock configuration with my multipart carriages, but it might require a brutal hack.

Theres tower (i think this is the name of the block taken out from the inside of the block to make it hollow) panel? Thats could work fine.
