[1.7.10][Public] MechanicalTitan Pack

This is probably not your issue, but whenever I try to look up uses of an item that do not have uses, minecraft hangs. It doesn't crash, it just stops responding and i have to quit it manually, generating no crash log. I think i've had this problem in a few other 1.7.10 packs aswell.
Will try running it from my SSD to see if that fixes it.

how long does it hang for like 2-3 seconds? also what version of the pack are you using?

It hangs until I manually exit it, (permanently). I seemed to fix it by changing java version from 1.8 to 1.7, modpack version is latest.

on XP and down (maybe vista as well), click run and type "dxdiag" (no quotes). On 7 and up, search for the same in the start menu. if on mac or linux, google it.

As May have been noticed there was no update this week. That is because we hotfixed and there was no need to flood the ftb team with another update. That being said an update can be expected Monday or Tuesday
