I'm struggling with energy distribution again. I have 2 energy streams coming into the main battery buffer in a satellite base: A and B. I'm trying to figure out how to make it so that it prioritizes power from A over B. I thought I'd use shutters and energy detectors, but it doesn't seem to do what I want. Ideally, I'd have an energy detector on my battery buffer which opens the shutter on wire B only when the battery buffer is less than half full. The problem is that energy detectors only look at the internal buffer of the battery buffer, and not the batteries in it. Is there a way to make this work?

The application (since a re-work might be a better alternative): My fusion reactor, plasma generators, and primary batteries are all in my main base. I have a few satellite bases to distribute FPS intensive processes that are pretty far away from my main base - far enough to not render and cause FPS issues, but close enough that the cable connecting them is usually loaded (the last stretch of cable, as well as the satellite, are chunk loaded). They use a lot of power, but generate some of their own too, and have their own battery buffers to support them in times that the cable in between is not loaded (when i'm mining, exploring, in the end, nether, etc). I want them to prioritize using their own power, and not waste it (old steam and RTGs mostly), but supplement their power using the wire from the main base. The easy solution is to wire their supplemental power back to the main base (or separate out my generators and consumers), then wire it to the satellite separately, but that's wasteful in energy and resources. It seems like there should be an easy solution here, without re-building my whole base.

Alternate question: Is there a way to eliminate FPS lag by hiding things in enclosed rooms, allowing only teleportation in/out? Or something similar? I don't know how the rendering engine works. I make big complex tech builds, beyond what my graphics card/RAM can seem to handle.

Easy question: is there a portable tank between the drum and bedrockium drum in size, so I can transport equal but large quantities of different fluids?

The energy detector cover that blood asp added for battery buffers can be screwdrivered so that it emits a signal based on the total energy including the batteries inside.

The correct modes is one of the last ones (and there's a lot of them)

Using that signal, you can do what you want. You may need two covers, each with its own comparitor setup so that you can emit the signals you need when you need them.

Btw if anyone fancy a little sneak peak for what is required to make one material to advance in EV age in GT5.09. Its not the only way of course. But its one of the ways.

That's looking pretty good there. Question, for the next release of the modpack, do you still have an ETA of January, or is it getting pushed back further? I found a rather sweet looking spot for a base and it's near some essential resources that will be needed to get into the electrical age. Do you reckon I should press on with the current modpack version, or wait until a newer version is out?

My first map turned out not to have the resources I needed nearby generated in the terrain, because it wasn't high enough up to generate any. It's amazing what 10 or 20 blocks of vertical height will do to resource generation! :D

Cheers ...

How much productivity upgrades in an industrial apiary do you need to have naquadah bees (with fastest speed) running at maximum? Im sure someone calculated that allready.

Also: What happens to a ignoble princess that dies? Does it leave a drone?

Goal is to get it to you guys this month, but cant say that for sure... We are working on it in our spare free time, but we are getting close... Its possible that the first release will not have all shenanigans we have planned, but it will be playable, and rage quitable as well :D

Technically the logisticspipe supplier pipe with a placement upgrade can do that.

Have you looked up the Gregtech Regulator? I think he's talking about that machine, which would be used to feed the Gregtech Centrifuge and Electrolyzer, both of which require various kinds of dusts to be input at different stack sizes to yield different recipes. I'm not sure what he needs to figure out about it, but I don't know which part LogisticsPipes would help him with, as it would only help on the input side, and in any case, I don't know if it could handle inputting a specific stack size of an item needing processing. This is what the Gregtech Regulator is for.

It was a long time ago, and I think it still works much the same as it does now, but the last time I played with a Gregtech Electrolyzer, I manually inputted the amount of dusts I wanted to process in it. Automation was possible, but I'm not sure with which machine you would have done it, as Gregtech back then was very complicated, and still is! :D

1)
The logisticspipe supplier pipe with the placement upgrade can do the same thing as the gregtech regulator.

2)
He should just place it next to the machine / chest to find out which slot is which number so he can use it in the regulator.

but... but... but there is meteoric ore in nei...
Yes, like a neutronium ore and like ores of all other materials. They are meta-items and generated programmatically by GT. Many are not used in worldgen but you can add a custom ore generation (see WorldGeneration.cfg in GT config folder).

...}
ore{
mix {
...
            meteoric{
                B:Asteroid_true=true
                I:Density_5=5
                B:EndAsteroid_true=false
                B:Mars_true=false
                I:MaxHeight_60=60
                I:MinHeight_10=10
                B:Moon_false=false
                B:Nether_false=false
                I:OrePrimaryLayer_324=324
                I:OreSecondaryLayer_324=324
                I:OreSporadiclyInbetween_324=324
                I:OreSporaticlyAround_326=0
                B:Overworld_false=false
                I:RandomWeight_10=8
                I:Size_32=32
