But it is not working.
While the server starts, but the mods are not loaded.

MK1 fusion is successful. I now have stacks of Europium. I also now realize that I need to go back and build a thorium reactor to make it to the next step. Finally time to get over my fear of IC2 nukes :)

Grats! Yeah, Thorium depletion takes a while. I ended up replicating just enough to produce 1 dust worth of americium, produced it, and then set that on replication as well. In hindsight, I wish I had simply mass produced the nuclear reactors to get enough lutetium to get me to the next tier of fusion (mk 2 fusion casings require 6 americium plates each!).

Nice, dlur! For the Lutetium i build 27 single block reactors, each running with 7 quad cells. I dont need them anymore, maybe you could use them. Sadly i dont have much time to play at the moment...

I've been producing UU-matter for a while now and I've been scanning rarer elements. But I'm pretty sure that I'll just end up making 4 thorium reactors. It's not liking I'm facing a lead or iron shortage anytime soon.

I have plenty of materials to make reactors, but do you recall what pattern you used for venting the heat out by chance or have a reactor designer schematic?

Alright so I'm just starting to try out the fluid reactor => large heat exchanger => large turbine system, but I'm getting kinda baffled - the system works sorta fine but the numbers are wonky as hell.

My test reactor is outputting a steady 800hU/s as shown here: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Attachment&attachmentID=4734. The hot coolant is pumped out to the LHE.

Now, according to the wiki, the LHE is supposed to produce 10mB (or L) of steam for each mB of hot coolant. I never checked the rate of steam production with the reactor running, but independent tests with hot coolant cells showed that 1000mB of hot coolant produced 720mB of steam from 4.5mB of distilled water. I'm not sure how that's possible or what's happening.

Next, the steam is being pumped in the closed loop system to a large steam turbine. I haven't played with large turbines before, so with regards to them I'm pretty ignorant. What I have so far is (theoretically) 28.8mB/t of steam (720mB/s steam for 1000mB/s hot coolant => 576mB/s steam for 800mB/s hot coolant => 28.8mB/t steam) being pushed into the turbine.

Regarding turbine materials and nominal flow rates and stuff I'm quite in the dark here so I've tried out tungstensteel only so far. Using an IV Dynamo hatch and a single slot IV battery buffer, the regular turbine (20000L/s optimal) produced 8192EU every second (409.6EU/t). However, when I tried the small turbine (10000L/s optimal) and huge turbine (40000L/s optimal), they both gave me 8192EU every 2 seconds (204.8EU/t). Due to my relative lake of knowledge on large turbine rotors and flow rates and stuff I can't make out what's going on.

Can anyone be so patient as to explain the phenomenon I'm experiencing here, and maybe also a brief summary on the large turbine rotors and how they work? (I can't comprehend the wiki)

2 Things:

1. The LHE and the turbines need some time to reach full performance. So you have to wait ~1min after you started them until you can measure stuff.

2. The turbines are extremly sensitive to input, you have to match their rated steam input exactly, or you will loose efficency. So for your tungstensteelturbine you need exactly 1000mb/t, since more would result in wasted steam and less would reduce the efficency (and output, too).

hmmm... is there a way to stop EU from flowing through a cable?

I just finished my ender quarry, but I can't keep it running constantly as I don't have the capacity to use all the materials it produces.

I tried adding a machine controller to a battery buffer, but it's not affecting the throughput

I did wait for perhaps a minute or two to pass before everything sort of stabilised out and these readings are more or less what I have.

Also I should add that only 200mB/t of steam is being transferred from the LHE to the turbine due to the nature of the ender fluid conduits I'm using. This led me to assume that the throughput is not high enough to transfer all the steam produced, as a steady 6-7mB of steam would accumulate in the LHE output hatch each second. However, when I tried using a line of IC2 fluid regulators to transfer 1000mB/t steam to the turbine, the output hatch still has this accumulation (which oddly enough does not increase the fluid amount number in the UI but only shows up when mousing over the steam texture). To be safe, I used a shutter module on the output hatch set to open when work enabled. Is there a limit to how much an output hatch can output, and if not, is there any way to distribute output fluids evenly between hatches?

To stop EU going through cable you can just use Shutter module with Machine controller.

Totally unrelated to recent conversation and way less sophisticated of a question: Why would a guy want to use GT chainsaw complete with titanium business end if it doesn't "treecapitate" like the GT axes do? Plus, it breaks.

Also...I went to The End. Boy am I a complete noob to Hardcore Ender Expansion. It would be awesome if someone could shine some light on some cool armor that doesn't require a ton of platinum (what I'm going to the end for in the first place). I'm also looking for ways to increase my health pool and maybe a ranged weapon better than a bone bow with infinite and other enchants. I'll have a bit of help in there, but we aren't really the most skilled at intense situations. Lol.

I find the bone bow max-enchanted with the osmotic enchanter is great. I solo the end dragon fairly easily by flying around in my thaumostatic harness/belt. Ditto for the high end thaumcraft boots/leggings/helm. Extra health comes from the runic-enchanted rings.

For the rest of the end, I like vampiric-enchanted sharp v sword of the zephyr (hits groups of enemies at a time while refilling your health).

Watch out for those end dungeon towers. Be sure to start at the bottom floor and destroy all spawners and central engraved floor blocks as you make your way up. For the mini bosses a max-enchanted chain lightning wand focus worked well for me.
