Why can't you use red sand instead of sand in for example the Coke Oven recipes?

Isn't red sand meant to be functionally the same?

Also what is the recipe for the presser from Pam's? Doesn't seem to work.

Edit: Ball of Moss also doesn't work even though the recipe is in the tinker's book as 3by3 of mossy cobble

I was disappointment by red sand not being able to create a coke oven also but you can use it to make grout as well as centrifuging for regular sand. I don't mess with pam recipes much but the ball of moss is now behind a thaumcraft recipe in the gtnh tab and you need to do researches before they show up in nei.
Yes as usual. Thaumcraft recipes need to researched first to show up. But i add info in Quest book i guess.

Final Edit: -Nevermind........I think it may have been pollution from the blast furnaces on the floor above ......:confused:

Edit: HELP. The whole chunk permanently generates slowness, weakness and a couple of other effects on some sort of timer and nothing I have done (see below) can remove the problem. Its a key corner of my base and I dont want to pack up and move again. Its so infuriating its ruining the game for me.

Edite 2: Just updated the mod pack. Effect still there.

There is one spot in my base where I keep getting effected by weakness and other effects (with the curly smoke). I have suicided, dug out the area a bit, used a command line to clear the effect and otherwise tried to unload chunks by walking a long way. All to no avail. Maybe its because I took on an infernal mob enderman who simply disappered and didn't return in that chunk. But that was so many saves ago I cant unwind that one. Its driving me nuts. Any ideas for removing the effect permanently
If you read the Quest book carefully it says you need a hazmat suit from IC2 to remove this effects when you worn it.
Milk will remove the effects too but only for a short period. Later on you can make a Filter to clean the air.
And yes the chunk is 16x16 and 256 high.

If you read the Quest book carefully it says you need a hazmat suit from IC2 to remove this effects when you worn it.
Milk will remove the effects too but only for a short period. Later on you can make a Filter to clean the air.
And yes the chunk is 16x16 and 256 high.
Thanks DreamMasterXXL. Stil playing. Moved the blast furnaces 1 chunk over for now. Seriously I have played 10 or so modpacks and attempted my own over 7+ years and I havent found anyhting remotely as good as yours. And at the rate I play its going to take a loooooong time!

The only thing I would say is I am not a fan of infernal mods.....but its a hard pack so that comes with it!

Infernal mobs get a significant change. We bugfixing alot between 2.0.8.3 and the new version 2.0.9.0 (will be out soon)
And thanks you like the pack. I have a great team and we invest many of hours make it like it is now.
