[21:51:37] [Server thread/WARN]: Skipping Piece with id AgriCraft:Greenhouse

Although it's not crashing the server anymore, so that's an improvement. :)

EDIT: Although this could be due to existing corrupted villages. I managed to find a new village with two greenhouses and there was no stack traces in the log.

I had the mod's tanks and sprinkler running in a 3 x 6 area. I'd worked my way up from vanilla crops through all the flowers, checking NEI for recipes plus scanning everything into the journal. When I started the world I didn't have the resource seeds enabled. In addition to Agricraft I also have Pam's Harvestcraft and magical crops, plus an assortment of non-plant mods. On going through the config after starting a world but before growing anything but a few vanilla crops I discovered the resource crops.

I planted melons, sugarcane and pumpkins to start getting flower seeds, then progressed up through all the flowers with no problems. Then I put down the red tulips and daisies to get redstone flowers, realized when there were no mutations that I'd need the ore underneath. Neither NEI nor the journal indicated that anything was needed underneath but I'd read your example in the mutations config and assumed that. So I put redstone under the entire area. That produced the redstone seeds. Then I pulled up everything and planted the combination to get the gold seeds. Again, I forgot the gold ore at first, so the redstone was still under there while the redstone plants grew. After I put the gold ore under the farmland I got the gold seeds. Then I pulled up all the plants and put the pink tulips and blue orchids for lapis seeds. Again, I forgot the lapis until I failed to get lapis seeds but remembered quicker this time. After putting the lapis ore down everything was fine. Then I put down redstone plants and red tulips to get copper seeds. I put copper under the whole area but the redstone plants said they couldn't grow so I picked up the copper under the redstone plants and put redstone ore down. They still said they couldn't grow. Then I tried gold plants and dandelions to try for nickle seeds and put gold ore underneath. They also said they couldn't grow.

The pattern I used for the plants is: (R = redstone seeds, T = red tulip seeds, X = cross crops. Same design for the other plants.)
RXRXRX
XTXTXT
RXRXRX

Underneath the dirt I put redstone ore under every R and copper under the rest.

Usually I find that if something doesn't work I've just done something stupid, but I can't figure out what here.

ETA: and digging out the entire area underneath and starting over seems to work. I don't know if it's because I quit and then restarted or what. Weird. But if you can't reproduce it, I guess we chalk it up to weirdness or user error because now it appears to be working.

It might just be a syncing issue, I assume you're using waila to see if the plant is fertile? I'll have a look at it.

EDIT: still failing to reproduce :s

Hmm if it is only in previous generated villages, can you regenerate the chunks with the village in with McEdit and see if it persists? Unless those chunks are valuable to you of course.

On a seperate note, 1.2.2 has been released on CurseForge. Quite some fixes/changes. For the people who are using Custom Crops, you will see that the config requires an extra argument, namely a specific soil. If you set it to null (dont specify a specific soil), the crop can be planted on vanilla farmland and every soil you whitelisted. If you specify a soil, it will only be able to be planted, grow and mutate on that soil. For now only sand, soul sand and mycelium are supported (because now crops can only be set on those) but I will soon add the option to specify any block.

Anyway, changelog:

1.2.2
-ADDED: TConstruct scythes can be used for aoe harvesting (right click on crops to aoe harvest)
-ADDED: Cactus and mushroom crops
-ADDED: Configurable instant-growth for magical fertiliser
-ADDED: Crops for botania's petals
-ADDED: Growth rate configuration for sprinkler
-ADDED: The option to set the soil for a custom crop (this will require you to add one argument to all your custom crops)
-ADDED: The option to add and remove fruits from custom crops with minetweaker (multiple fruits have are weighted)
-CHANGE: Crops can now be applied on sand and soul sand by default
-CHANGE: Seeds now require the correct soil when being planted on a crop
-CHANGE: Soil whitelist: whitelisted soils only apply to crops that need farmland
-CHANGE: Crops will follow Hunger Overhaul's rules (Squeek502)
-FIXED: Hard runtime dependency on Botania
-FIXED: Seeds with identical stats sometimes not stacking
-FIXED: shapeless custom wood recipes not working correctly
-FIXED: Vanilla farming only disabling for farmland
-FIXED: Lag issues regarding the irrigation system (still being looked at)
-FIXED: Seed duplication bug involving the Seed Analyzer

Get it at the usual place (the CurseForge page) and as always reporting any and all oddities you might encounter is appreciated.

Fortunately, I've been doing all the testing in my mining world, so no loss there. :)

Clearing out the chunks with the villages removed the errors, but after visiting seven villages I still haven't found any greenhouses (which is odd because I saw them often before).

What is the intended mechanism for growing mushrooms? I can plant the spores on crops over mycelium, but I can't find any way to get the spores from mushrooms and you can't plant mushrooms on crops directly. (Not sure if this is a bug)

EDIT: Same goes for cactus. I could breed them, but there seems to be no way to go from vanilla cactus to cactus seeds.

EDIT 2: Same problem with the new Botania seeds.

I reduced the chances, they should be quite rare.

Probably becasue you still use the mutations config from the previous version, if you have any custom mutations defined yourself, back those up. Then set regenerate defaults in the main config to true. This will add in the new mutations. After this you can safely copy your own mutations back in.

I'm also pondering removing that mutations config as it can all be done now with minetweaker.

I'll keep an eye on the log then--I suspect that I won't see anything until I find a greenhouse.

Something's still not working right with mushrooms for me. This is the mutation config that was generated:
AgriCraft:seedShroomBrown=minecraft:nether_wart+AgriCraft:seedPotato

But crossbreeding like this doesn't work:
2015-02-01_14.32.25.png
I tried farmland between the two with no luck. Also, NEI isn't displaying the mutation.

So is the plan to not have any support to directly plan mushrooms, cacti, and mystical flowers? (i.e. you'll always have to breed them to get the seeds)

o_O, the plan is to directly support mushrooms, however it doesn't seem to like nether wart. If you check the log it tells there is an error when adding that mutation. I'll look at that.

I have to say, this is my new favorite mod with a breeding mechanic in part due to the ability to speed through the breeding process via bone meal, but mainly it is the sheer simplicity .

Anyhow, for whatever reason I cannot see resource seed recipes in NEI. I installed it in a slightly changed DW20 pack (I added a few things), but to my knowledge nothing should affect it. Thoughts?

Drop mod into folder. Start a game with it so the config file generates. Save and quit.

Go to config to turn on resource crop to true. Turn on custom mutation/crop to true as well to be safe.
Set regenerate mutation list to true. *Beware that any custom mutations in there will be lost. Copy it to somewhere so you copy it back later.
Run the game again.
Save and quit.

Now check your mutation list, there should be a whole list of mutations like aurigold etc.

Now go set the regeneration of mutation list to false. It should, by default, revert to false after it regenerates but mine doesn't, and it doesn't hurt to check.

Run you game, you should be able to mutate resource crops now.

Well @PierceSG cleared that out for you :p. It is indeed a bit complicated and thats why I am thinking of removing the mutations config (the Minetweaker integration offers the same functionalities)

Drop mod into folder. Start a game with it so the config file generates. Save and quit.

Go to config to turn on resource crop to true. Turn on custom mutation/crop to true as well to be safe.

The fact that it doesn't revert back means I probably broke something, I'll look at it

I'm annoyed I didn't know about this earlier so I could add it to my server. Looks like a lot of fun!
Great to hear you like it.

Sorry for being far: Christmas, family, starting the year at work, you know.
Well, I updated the mods, and in the config I saw the flowing water option. I tried. Thank you! :)
I still have much work to do, but you sir, gave me a great option. Thank you again!
