Then King Lemming is keeping IC2 alive. There'd be no need for it if MPS was powered by BC energy.
Power Converter charge pad is the device you are looking for. Pump your MJ into an energy bridge and stick a charge pad on it. Will charge your MPS, as well as your IC2 items. If you put a chest adjacent to it, it will charge anything in the chest.

Good god I need to look more into Power Crystals stuff. That sounds amazing. Charging from a chest just makes me happy

Thanks SFBB.

If Bibliocraft ends up in there that could make for a cozy Tinker's Construct workshop

I was going to make a snappy retort about Gregtech, but actually GT just added support for UE power. So uh... maybe kinda true.

Especially if Ars Magica goes in the pack. MPS, Tinker's Construct, and Ars Magica can all make tools that the quantifiably better than all but the Gravisuite tools. I did some tests in archmage robes eating nukes. At a high enough magic level your armor can eat multiple nukes and your mana is net stable. It is also supremely awesome looking.

I'd love to see some more IC2 content. I have no idea why but I dont want to see it just disappear you know?

Really OP are "u" it's so hard to type two extra letters? Really? REALLY?

I am looking forward to 1.5.1 for MFR. I just got into mfr and it's AMAZING.

Also, I think IC2 needs evolving to Ic3 for new stuff. There is supposedly some sort of Industrium Conflict or something but.. Ic3 is needed. Mods usefulness constantly are disappearing and reappearing, and Ic2 is stale. Without Addons, it'd be dead.

Right now, for all intents and purposes, Gregtech IS IC3. If RichardG doesn't like that he should stop changing his API 3 times a week and work on content.[DOUBLEPOST=1366743522][/DOUBLEPOST]
What a silly statement.

I don't even bother with MPS. (Nor do I bother with graviton suits)

To be fair, you are also the slowest and most vulnerable person on AdvancingCraft. Remember that time Poppy accidentally shot us with his laser and you died and I didn't notice I was hit? Good times.

I love MM&team's work, but I gotta say the only reason you really want an MPS is for the leg and maybe boot pieces. I can get my flight elsewhere if I must. Everything else is sort of unnecessary and often takes up a more valuable slot selection (tier 2 upgrades include night vision which is great, and the railgun and plasma cannon are pretty useful).

That's because the laser ignores armor, and MPS avoids that. If lasers didn't ignore armor, I wouldn't have died or MPS treated protection as it is normally done, then both of us would have.

I've died exactly twice since I had steel armor. Once was that, the other time was jumping in a cage with 100 wisps. Vulnerable? Not in any meaningful way.

Ars Armor may suit you well as well, sir. I suspect you will like it. For the record, Ars Armor supposedly stands up to lasers as well. And more for the record, it's proooobaby because he used explosive mode that it happened.

While I am skeptical at some of the changes being made in the new Forestry version, I am definitely looking forward to Sengir's Clockwork Engine. I love the concept of it as an early game, limited use power system.

The only item I'd swap out is the legs.

Goggles of revealing and boots of the traveller4lyfe.

NEW content is what I'm excited about. Yes everyone will have their tested favorites but for the sake of fun and experimentation the Beta sounds like a great option. Plus nuke proof magical gear sounds awesome.

Is there any word out on development of an IC3?

Yes, I am looking forward to quite a bit of the new stuff. Tinker's Construct, Natura, Ars Magica.. etc etc!

I find the IC2 machines are still useful for their potential processing speed. Given infinite renewable power, which is fairly fun to work towards anyway, why not drop a ton of upgrades into each device?

I am gonna try them tonight when I record along with the new bee houses. This change seems super-cool. The big problem before was how hard it was to get into beekeeping; by the time you could actually build all the stuff the early bee outputs were not useful.[DOUBLEPOST=1366745064][/DOUBLEPOST]
It's done. Available for some time now. I think you spell it "GregTech"

In other news: Steve's Cart tree farm heavily nerfed. I blame Dave.

It was too good w/out fertilizer and we both know it. Upshot: MFR is still good and not going to change. Double-upshot, Ars Magica can automatically boost treefarms by a huge degree.[DOUBLEPOST=1366745129][/DOUBLEPOST]

They're great for like, "workshop" stuff, no doubt. No one wants to sit around waiting. But when it comes to ore processing/sorting system output they're usually not worth the trouble.
