I power my turtles with charcoal which I have tons of due to converting all the wood from forestry farms into charcoal. So, what I would do is grab a couple stacks of charcoal place a stack in the turtle type refuel all then repeat until my fuel level is something like 50k. That should be good...

If you're just trying to get FTB onto your server there's a dropdown list that will do it for you. Look in "Minecraft" --> "Change server jar" then select which pack you want from the dropdown and hit install. Takes a little bit of time, but it's all done for you.

My experience with CreeperHost has been pretty good so far. Relatively lag free, and they have a pretty powerful control panel. You can also get your server up and running with any FTB pack by just choosing which pack you want from a list, so it's perfect if you're not used to running a server...

Agreed, I'm waiting for the "ultimate" pack as well. I figured that I'd mess around with the magic pack for the moment so I can get used to life without early IC2 stuff. That way I'll be ready for GregTech's hard mode lol :).

I guess one thing you could do is just create a world and play. Once RP is ready generate a new Mystcraft world and in there you should be able to find all the world gen that RP adds. Or you can do like me, which is play now and start over when everything has been finalized.

I believe you can place them anywhere but I don't think you'd be able to pump out all of the liquid if they're not placed in the bottom two rows.

If you're talking about the vortex looking thing, that is a magical node that can only be seen when wearing certain thaumcraft goggles. I haven't quite gotten that far with my thaumcraft research so I'm not 100% sure what they are actually for haha.

Indeed, but it works much quicker when touching water source blocks :).

Whenever I use combustion engines I just make a 3x3 water pool and place the pump directly above the center block of water. I use 4 redstone engines for power and golden waterproof pipes going straight from the pump to the engines. I've never used a tank. Although, I'd suggest trying out one...

Have you tried pressing "O" (like the letter O). It's the default key to hide / show NEI.

Barrels are from Factorization.

Those are bees :). You need to craft one of these (http://forestry.sengir.net/wiki/index.php?n=Items.Scoop) to harvest them properly. Hope that helps!
