It's awesome man! I love it, good job. What are the sparkly things that float above the room? I still haven't delved into TC3..

If you're talking about the vortex looking thing, that is a magical node that can only be seen when wearing certain thaumcraft goggles.

I haven't quite gotten that far with my thaumcraft research so I'm not 100% sure what they are actually for haha.

Agreed, I'm waiting for the "ultimate" pack as well. I figured that I'd mess around with the magic pack for the moment so I can get used to life without early IC2 stuff. That way I'll be ready for GregTech's hard mode lol :).

Yea, as stated above, those are Whisps. The 'room' above is a three level glassed-in chamber that contains them, or else I would get zapped to death. I may upload a few more screenshots from each level and above 'looking down'

Local Aura: 687
Flux: High

Too eager to get into TC before moving out of the cave results in a ...

Beginner caves often have space considerations. An Infernal Furnace does in fact work adjacent to Coke Ovens, unlike coke ovens to each other. Lack of a certain discovery has me catching output with an obsidian pipe. Input is the obsidian pipe tucked in the wall on the far right, and doubles as a garbage disposal. "Hiss" is more satisfying then the silence of a void pipe!

I stumbled onto the furnace relatively early in tier 2 .. and still don't have the bellow discovery. One at the back will have to do until I move outside to the "sky castle", a work in progress currently accessible by 4 stacked levitators in a glass elevator ;p

Although the speed of the furnace isn't much of an issue at this stage - I mostly chuck cobble, food and sand in it from time to time. It seems to have a fairly decent inventory .. 3 or 4 stacks?

I think the Arcane Levitators have a limitation of 3 (30 block), could be wrong. would have to test...

But glad to see someone else sharing their layout/design, even if its 'temp' heh.

I have a setup where I drop things into a chest. This chest then pumps the items, and they drop from a pipe (caged by glass to prevent them not cooking) into an Arcane Furnace. The Furnace drops them out the front into a hungry chest. This then goes to my sorting system. And I have a brain-in-a-jar to collect the XP from smelting.

@noah_wolfe, nice pics man! In the top/first picture, at the top/right corner, there is an open book laying on what seems to be some angled tables or something. What are those exactly?

Fluke is correct, just a Mystcraft book (to my mining realm) on a lectern, on top of an oak plank block. I was lucky and found mushroom biome and eternal day within the first 3 discoveries.

I have my test world with about 10 levitators stacked together and hit about 100 blocks up (layer 55 to 153), haven't tested more.

10! Good to know. In a completely 'herp' moment, I placed the levitators after building the enclosed glass elevator, promptly shot myself up 40 blocks, and realized my platform was still up another 10. Stuck in an elevator high above the ground, no escape but to break the glass .. you can imagine the mess I made on the ground.

Actually now I have one at 15, goes up a straight 150 blocks. I am thinking there is not an actual limit on how high these can take you.

Well actually just a test with ~60 stacked and it worked. Hit 614, there was no more land, just the moon and the sun and the stars.

HAHA thats awesome. Can't wait for redpower release. Levitators + redwire+stickypistons = nice up/down floor based elevators.

Well, let's 'a' go!

Here's the main area of my Thaumatorium:
MgEUI.png

And here's my Nether Wart farm so I don't need to go find wisps. Get these planted before you need Mutatio otherwise they'll frustrate you. As you can see I was hosting a very unsavoury visitor, although he did leave me a dirt block, which was nice.
OoXi2.png

Crafting and repairs on the right and storage on the left. I'm not too fond of golems, so I just get this little wooden guy to pick up stuff from my Infernal Furnace. I really don't trust them to organise my materials properly, what with their limited intelligence.

Unending Pool of Infinite Water. NOT FOR BATHING IN
nHm5P.png

Research table, Arcane Worktable and easy-to-access research materials and general junk chest. It also holds miscellaneous crap, assorted rubbish, etc.
YUnkS.png

The Infernal Furnace, with bellows on the back. I lost a golem to this thing once...
3KngZ.png

My Infusion Altar, with my wand hovering above it. Not sure if that's Essentia in the alembic, though, or just fungus. But I suppose you want to see what's on the other side?
PtDXB.png

This is my Silverwood Arboretum. I'd have liked it to be bigger. Still, this is where I cultivate pure nodes. You can't see it, but there's a massive pure node with an aura in excess of 1000 in the middle of it:
XYK1M.png

...okay, so it's not that big yet, and it's only got an aura of 136 so far, but it'll get there.
z5bTZ.png

And here's the skylight/window/structural weakness, to make sure that the trees get all of that all-important sunlight:

Finished. Operation: Death-By-Screenshot complete.
