    Closed Tinkers Tool Progression

Summary of the problem Tinkers Tool Progression Pack Version 1.0.1 What is the bug? Is it possible to create tinkers casts (brass, aluminum brass, gold) without having to craft a vanilla iron pickaxe to acquire aluminium, gold? If not, this seems like the diamond harvest level requirement for...

    FTB Infinity Evolved––Claiming Chunks

Yea, but it's built in whereas you don't have to setup the plugins anymore so the convenience is definitely a plus.

Minecraft server - Port fowarding not working

    1. To start with, there are probably multiple layers of firewalls. If you're running this on Windows, you'll have to either turn off (not advised) or modify your Windows firewall to allow 25565. 2. Depending on the complexity of your router firewall, you may have a 2 step process for port...

    FTB Infinity Evolved––Claiming Chunks

I think you'll be pleased if you look at the change logs for FTB Utilities 1.0.0.13 I think it is...hopefully, Infinity 2.3.0 includes it instead of 1.0.0.12.

    FTB Infinity Evolved––Claiming Chunks

Because the mod (FTB Utilities I think) runs on both the client and the server, the commands you execute on the client and relayed to the server and enforced there. Once you claim them, the server will only allow 'you' to modify their permissions. You should know though that claiming chunks...

    Pam Harvestcraft , railcraft , IC2 , etc

@Azzanine Yea I guess my point is more that the reliance on only the 'optimal' is a fault of the players, not the packs. The players that search for and use only the optimal of everything are depriving themselves of the real value behind kitchen sink packs.

    Pam Harvestcraft , railcraft , IC2 , etc

I think both approaches have their place (kitchen sink vs purpose built) I like the variety and longevity of kitchen sink packs. You might say that the mods are redundant but honestly, most of the mods do the same thing but slightly different enough to justify one over another in certain...

    Stabalizing home-hosted server

I run a server, actually a few servers, for some friends and myself. It's a multi-role (small websites, databases, vm's, etc.) PC w/ an i5-4690k, 3GB allocated to MC and MC is running on a RAID1 SSD set. I don't ever see the memory usage get very high on my server but I have experienced block...

    Do rubber saplings grow inside

I watched Return of the Jedi the other night...makes me want to create a new base in a redwood forest.

Twilight Forest. I need a reason to go there.

I'm not sure if you're the kind of player that 'likes' to mine, like I do, but if you are, I kind of like mining in Twilight Forest. It seems more 'pot luck' than the overworld. I think in my next world, I might actually try to 'live' in the Twilight Forest.

    FTB Utilities changelogs/updates/etc?

Ah, there is a good example of why it would be nice to have a checklist! The Chunk Loader in FTB Utilities hasn't been implemented yet ... the map (as of right now) is purely for claiming chunks. I didn't know that until I started looking around the forum and like I said, having to search for...

    FTB Utilities changelogs/updates/etc?

Thanks! That's part of what I was looking for but I was also hoping for some sort of a public checklist as well. I know most of this stuff is developed when people have time so I don't want to come off as if I'm demanding that certain things are added in. It's just that I was clicking through...

    FTB Utilities changelogs/updates/etc?

Ran a quick search but couldn't find anything about usage or the dev progress of FTB Utilities. Is there a page for it? It's a pretty important mod now so I want to pay attention to it's progress.

Power Cable for Assembling Table and Lasers

Hmm, I just did this using gold kinesis pipes and was able to connect (to the lasers) from the top.

    Thaumcraft is a nightmare

Well, he's obviously new to TC so his categorization of out of control taint would be very different to someone who has intentionally built a base in a taint biome. From my last Monster play through, I setup a base in the tropics and across a river, there was a highlands area that started out...

    Thaumcraft is a nightmare

Ah, yea, Sano! I forgot about that. I think another source is 'milk'. Now I remember why I had a ton of metal-ium? left over after making the blooms :-) I agree. The documentation is iffy in part I think because there were major changes to TC and nobody bothered to go back and update their...

    Thaumcraft is a nightmare

I believe the latest version of monster included a version of Thaumcraft that included the updated research system (w/ the minigame). I'm pretty sure Monster included BetterStorage. I love their backpacks and I think the default config let's you wear and open them without taking up an armor...

Easiest beginner way for RF power?

I'm a fan of the windmill from Immersive Engineering. It seems fairly early game to me: creosote, wood, industrial hemp, clay, electrum (gold/silver?), redstone and iron basically. You can craft your way to a dynamo pretty quickly but a windmill capacitor combo doesn't use any fuel and stores a...

    Half a tree

Don't know what caused it but that could make an epic back wall for a new base.
