Vanilla has a multi-pack launcher that works fine now. Why are we(i.e. the Minecraft community) using custom launchers when this is true.

Trying to use this pack in the vanilla launcher. I copied the config, mods, and saves folder to a 1.6.4 Forge profile. Upon launching this happens in the Launcher Console. Shortened Version: Console Log %22Crash Landing%22 Short.txt Full Version: Console Log %22Crash Landing%22 Long.txt

I want to play this pack on the vanilla launcher. I have the 1.0.7 FTB pack folder with contents included. I have a forge(recommended) 1.6.4 profile. What next?
