I've tried growing the nether wart in the darkest surface possible, and it wouldn't grow. I guess I'll try putting it in a dark cave or something and try again. That would be dumb since regular nether wart will grow on the surface, but this is Expert Mode.

Full dark, out away from my base at night, and it still says it can't grow here. I find that odd since regular nether wart can grow in the overworld. ...Unless it's an option changed in IE? I'll see if I can find the config file for Agricraft.

@GamerwithnoGame That's a neat idea too! And it wouldn't need to mess with the portal mechanics either! It would prob be more involved of a process (components, setup), but maybe they would both have a place in the mod universe. And props on the Stargate inspiration. You get extra brownie points...

And if someone does want to run with this idea, I'm willing to help in the creative and testing side of things. I can help dig through different mods to look for recipe balancing, contextual applications, and further development of the idea itself. I just don't code, so I wouldn't be any help there.
