Thanks for the replies. I have the additional pipes mod installed and there is a "switch" conductive pipe that connects or disconnects the conductive pipes together. I wanted to see if power was being lost when going through this switch.

I just tried changing the IC2 tin and copper spawn to true in the config, before reading this thread. It did crash when I changed those to true. I really don't like the default settings for the rarity of copper and tin, but I am glad I can configure it.
