At a quick glance over at the minecraftfourms I see Forge, ExtrabiomesXL and Iron Chests have been updated to 1.4.6. Other mods that may or may not be apart of future packs have also been updated. Looks like this may be a quick update for most mods.

The only thing that I won't like losing is the base I built on the server I play on, but I will live. Bring on the reroll!

Also, the launcher will produce some red text when loading mods....can you start a world and play? If so, problem solved! :)

Thaumcraft 3 is available in the Magic Pack on the launcher.....unknown when it will be added to the beta pack. If the beta pack updates to MC 1.4.5, many folks will be adding Thaumcraft to the beta pack if the FTB folks don't do it. RP is anyone;s guess....the "feeling" is that it is close.

The author of Optifine has never given permission to any mod pack. He also, from what I understand, did not reach an agreement with Mojang who have since decided to add many similar features in a future update.....

A few thoughts....With FTB you can enable or disable any of the mods through the launcher so you can have the game you want. In the future, there will be custom mod packs available (each needing mod authors permission) and if you can spare some time you can create your own. Also, about chests...

I've been playing Minecraft for over a year, but FTB has brought me to modding, so I don't have a history with the easier recipes that GregTech has changed. I have looked them up however and agree with the mod author that the original recipes are a tad easy for the early IC machines.. My own...

I think this is a fantastic idea....those like me can get a taste of the mods and learn while other more experienced users can learn about mods they aren't familiar with. Hope to see it soon!

A solution that worked for me was to go in to the Video Settings, look for the animations panel....turn them all off. Now see if everything looks good back in game. Now you can try turning on the anims one at a time until you find which one is your personal culprit..... While this worked for...

First, this post should be in the Tech Support forum under the Feed The Beast heading. Second, FTB servers are currently down. The solution is to wait patiently.

The server FTB Launcher connects to is experiencing issues and is down as of 8AM central US time on 11/14. That is your problem.....the issues are being worked on.
