If you are having problems with mods in 1.5.2 try using an older forge version, build 690 made a change that caused problems for some mods, specifically CodeChickenCore, their may be others. Also MPS is a 1.5.1 version, not 1.5.2 so that may be why you are having problems with it.
Pahimar is actively working on the mod, you can check his git hub account, his last commit was like 5 hours ago. I don't have the same sense of comfort with RedPower 2
MFR and TE builds happen with frightening regularity. Some of the newer forge changes should make these minor updates easier for the modders to deal with, which will be better for everyone.
Yeah, I was aware of that post, but thought I had read something more recent that suggested that 1.5.x wasn't probably going to happen at all. Which is why I followed it with a disclaimer.
Didn't think about that. Do the turtles 1-hit endermen? If yes, then they should work fine. If no, then there is a chance for teleporting(I think).
I use the MFR Grinder + Conveyor + Auto-Spawner
I don't know about red power, but I do know that Underground Biomes, has some really nice replacements for both marble and basalt. At this point for me the updates for MFR, TE, and MPS far outweigh the use I got out of red power.
