Actually you can use hybrid bees as long as the active species trait is Stark. There are no downsides to using hybrids, you end up with a completely overwritten bee either way.

Both, mostly SMP though. In an older Ultimate version I had trouble with random exploding steam boilers. I used chunkloaders (and google) to figure out what the problem was.

I'm not sure what level they spawn on, but the spawn rate is 30% chance per chunk if that helps any.

I've grown 3 of them and it seems to be just random. All I know is that it is a royal pain to chop one all the way down.
