    Yeah, the op already decided to use electrical. What the problem is, is that his engines aren't getting powered. If you could post a picture that'd be great. And also, are you applying a redstone signal to the engines? :P

    The thermal generator outputs 24 eu/t, have you got any electron tubes in the electrical engines?

    Well, how much power are you supplying them with? Bear in mind they need 6 eu/t each to produce 2 MJ/t. Copper cable loses 1 eu/t every 4 blocks, so you most likely don't have a sufficient power supply. EDIT: A picture of your setup would be nice.

    Magmatic, free, near-infinite energy. Unless you have the abilities to upgrade the electrical engine and you have a decent EU setup.
