Yeah basically you plop down trees, get new saplings, plop them down, etc. until you get what you're after. Try to have a diverse group of trees I guess. I agree with the post above me in saying it's not an exact science. I think its more like something fun to do while breeding bees.

That's an awesome house, pretty impressive upgrade from a 9x9. Btw, if you don't like the dripping lava from thaumcraft, I believe there is an option to disable dripping liquid particles in video settings. But that may be Optifine.

You use electric engines from Forestry I'm assuming? Good to know that you're going to try a reactor, those are lots of fun to use! Also, lava energy becomes easy when you use a magma crucible ;)

I've seen the question of mod versions for 1.4.7 being usable in 1.4.6 many times and I thought I should answer it. YES. You can use 1.4.7 mods on a 1.4.6 version of Minecraft. 1.4.6 players can connect to 1.4.7 servers too, etc. that is all.

Speaking of liquid mods, has anyone here every played with Plasmacraft? It added all sorts of cool liquids and acids and stuff. It became forge in 1.2.5 too. Dev dropped off the face of the earth before the liquid API came out sadly.

Gregtech, and disable the hard recipes. I disable everything it changes in IC and just have it for the extra machines.
