Transporting goods through nether portals (using Tech World only)

and how about a standard vanilla cobblestone generator in the nether? since water isn't placeable, take a bucket of oil. it can be placed in the nether, and reacts with lava similar to water. a blockbreaker then consumes the cobblestone and sends it whereever you want it to go.

Unique Energy, Your Set-Ups and Plans.

hmmm, the main problem of unique energy setups is, that they are usually not used because they are not overly efficient. suggestion for a system: take a autocrafting-system, that crafts one insulated copperwire (cheap with the GT wiremill), one mercury-cell (takes 1 tin and 1 cinnabar ore)...

    Explodey things! :D

why should anyone use a nuke-cannon, when people can construct nuke cruise missiles? I think about a RP2-frame with a few drives (6 way would be fun) and maybe a computersystem like CC. and of course a chunkloader. and most important: one or several nukes, maybe even with a deployer. the...

    Explodey things! :D

nuclear reactor explosions depend on the amount of uranium/plutonium inside. how about this: creeper soulshard or this new monster spawner from MFR, right above a mystcraft portal. allows you to instantly send creepers everywhere you want, as long as you equip the sending portal with a linking...

    Automating Industrial Electrolyzer

since it is a GT-machine, take a look at the advanced translocator. it allows you to specify where items should go. extracting items could also work via AE import bus.

    Ultimate. Iridium Source?

there are a few recipes for shiny ingots. but as in the real world: platinum has some use in industry (platinum catalysts for cars) but if there is a cheaper substitute, it will be used...

How to lure cows back over water?

mystcraft portals + gravi gun. pick up a cow, drop it into the portal, and the portal links to your island.

    Xycraft liquid tanks

xycraft tanks have another interesting feature: they can share walls. so, 2 conjoined tanks with sharing valves add up volume. the railcraft-tanks are interesting, because they offer the full volume, not only the inner volume. buildcraft tanks are nice for small and inexpensive storage and...

    Ultimate. Iridium Source?

and don't forget ferrous ore in overworld. if grinded with mercury (you'll get tons of it by centrifuging redstone dust for chrome) you get 1 platinum dust, and 2 platinum dust turn into two iridium nugggets, with the centrifuge...

Am I the only one who cringes......

and coal can be turned into nitro coal fuel. and that's worth 18k heat. that's not bad for coal...

    unused Xycraft textures?

as far as I know, there are no xycraft lasers, but the xycraft energy system is (will be) based on node-blocks, which exchange energy in form of light pulses. and it looks quite cool...

    OP-ness Verification

actually, greg already points the nerfgun at infinite water, so it might be a bit more complicated soon... but there is still the xycraft water block...

Unique Energy, Your Set-Ups and Plans.

MFR has this automated fishing machine. fish --> centrifuge --> methane --> gas turbine or boiler --> ??? --> profit

Confessions: I never ... even though I'm told I should.

till now, I never used steves carts (although I built the cart assembler). and although lava is a nice source for energy in the early game (I once ate up a full surface lava lake), I never pumped it to overworld to get energy. but I centrifuged it to get tons and tons of copper and even more...

industrial grinders, worth it or not?

but if you're going for something that needs chrome, there is no better way than having an ind. grinder and a rockcutter. silktouch the redstone ore, grind it to redstone (gives 10 redstone dust + 1/2 glowstone dust) and then centrifuge the redstone. that will give you so much mercury, that you...

industrial grinders, worth it or not?

of course the grinder takes quite a lot of energy, but on the other hand: grinding coal ore gives thorium, grinding monazit ore gives thorium too, grinding uranium ore gives 2 uranium dust + plutonium dust. so, although it consumes energy, it also makes nuclear energysources far more efficient.

How'd you like to see mods change for 1.6?

It could drop lasagne :D (or at least a crafting recipe: wheat + horsemeat --> lasagne)

    Got Wood? Use it!

and how about this system: take the wood, use the TE or GT sawmill pump the planks into a solid fuelbox boiler (size 36) feed the steam into the same system as your biofuelboiler does use a big xycraft tank for the steam, with lots of inlet valves on the top, and sets of outletvalves on...

Moving items from one map to the other.

I doubt that this could be an issue. if this would be the case, they would send out a warning, that no ultimate world can be switched from 1.4.7 to 1.5.1. the only thing I hope is: marble and basalt should be switched to ebxl. because those are terrain-blocks and ebxl is a terrain mod. and...

Moving items from one map to the other.

I'd say, the best way to keep everything is: make a backup of the world, update, watch what happens. my guess, every redpower item will vanish, including volcanos, rubber trees, marble and so on. look, if you can live with that situation. if you really want to restart, I'd say: take the old...
