There are existing updates because they were least updated before 1.5. but there wont be any future mod updates

It could be months before all the mods are updated. But at this point there probably won't be any further 1.4.7 updates from any of the mods. So hopefully they will release one more update soon, then we will probably have to wait a long time

im not sure, saplings are considered renewable however (according to the wiki)

The new compact solar hats are pretty nice but the HV one gives you 5 seconds on nausea every couple seconds. I cant find a config to disable it. Is there anything else I can try to get rid of it?

If you dont consider regular saplings renewable (I do) then fortune doesn't make them "renewable" as its still a chance

endstone is renewable now using the tome of alkahest (not in the mindcrack pack or a couple others though)

you could send energy crystals through ender chests

This is 100% false. as you can see here he just plans on using overclockers instead. I see his point. Advanced machines is not useless but definitely not essential. And you cant use TE machines for extracting/compressing anyways

Also regular machines with overclockers don't seem that much slower

I dont know if ill use them much, Because I have gregtech installed I go with more TE machines anyways. so the macerators arent that useful and im not sure about compressors and extractors. Also I noticed gregtech had some fancy "auto" machines. Anyone know what they do?

I believe its atomic stryker's. its whatever is in the ultimate pack though. they seemed to freeze up randomly even when powered with both EU and a redstone signal

Yeah, in my opinion both direwolf, mindcrack, and maybe even yogcraft are all really good for just regular playing, and not just for fans.

It does feel like some things have a lot more unused potential, like the beacon. but others feel more complete like anvils or the hopper. But that doesn't mean there wont be more functionality later. Like villagers, they have been completely useless for a while and then were made slightly less...

I think direwolf20 and mindcrack are made more with LPs in mind for obvious reasons
