    You get 3 from a quest and that's all the brass you ever get. The rest of the time you are meant to use gold for casts. Pretty simple explanation.

    The aluminum brass isn't disabled because you can melt down the aluminum brass it gives you into the molten aluminum brass.

    I've never had an issue with hungry nodes once I stuff them into an advanced node stabilizer. If I remember right the stabilizer nullifies the hungry property. Or you could just do the safe thing and taint the node intentionally once you get it large enough.

    The easiest way to jar a hungry node once its fed is to use obsidian and a wand of equal trade. You build the jar replacing the glass with obsidian then equal trade the obsidian into glass and quickly turn it into a node in a jar. If you do it right you have a massive node that is ready to...

    Gotta love those energized nodes. Make recharging wands easy as hell along with powering anything you could ever want. Not to mention with a hungry node you can feed it and make a stupidly large node that makes 10+ CV/t.

    To open the JSON file all you do is open it in a text editor, personally i use notepad++.

    I believe they were disabled using biome tweaker. But you really don't want to enable them til mid-late game because they would spawn every where.     Personally I remove that mod because it lowers the spawn rates of all the vanilla mobs. It is just a waste of the mob cap in my opinion.

    It is some form of silicon and oxygen in the chemical synthesiser. I cannot remember the exact recipe off the top of my head tho but I do know you can get quite a few from an obsidian block. Actually thinking about it it might be silicon dioxide. Best advice I can give though is NEI is your best...

    Like the post above said enabling the hammer defeats the purpose of the map. What you are meant to use is moon blocks to sieve and get your first few iron to make a decomposer then feed that with items and use the synthesis machine to make gravel and other things to sieve.

    Yeah that might have cause corruption of the HQM data which would result in a full reset.

    Did you change your MC name? If you did that is the culprit because they save based on name not on UUID.

    Ahh ok cause in the map I had started in 1.1.12 they were roughly the same as a standard torch.

    They aren't torches tho they were jack o lanterns. And instead of lighting up roughly the same as a vanilla torch they only light up a roughly 4 block radius.
