Glad the advice was sound. I watch a few professional youtubers use optifine and the high rez textures anyway with the glitches so I consider those ore issues to be fairly minor and worth the increase in performance. I think they record at 30fps so anything above 40 with vsync on is good for them.

Yeah, I tinkered with this earlier today and it seemed to have more stability issues then it was worth, probably why its not in already, if they want it in, but thats all up to the mindcrackers. Hope we get updates soon =)

I think slight diffs too between packs, in the configs for each mod to enable certain recipes, and maybe even ore/worldgen tweaks.

This is great, awesome =) I like doing this the hard way for the fun of it too. Though factorizations routers and barrels make the most sense to me, this looks like a real fun and educational project.
