    Fland mod + chisel?

Guy. Don't do bloody testing on your server. Make a copy of the world and run it locally on your PC or Mac. Test in that environment. You don't need to be testing in a server environment for this problem.

A Rotarycraft Thread (Meanders a little)

I thought that Azanor had limited the amount of aspects you could get from scanning one item to 10. Is that not so?

    Tinkers Con Smeltery

The Ingot Caster from Mariculture works perfectly for this. Output from the smltery via a fluiduct into an ingot caster, outputs ingots instead of blocks and it can handle a lot more fluid than a single ingot cast.

An Eldritch Abomination from Below the World

Mystcraft does have its own portals yes. EnhancedPortals 3 might also be something you want to look at, it's a more balanced portal system and is included in many of the modpacks.

why do so many people dislike monsterpack

I host a server and we really like the Monster pack. None of us play it as a resource expansion game though. We pick a theme or a set of mods and stick with it. It makes for some very interesting bases because no 2 are alike in the mods they use. Why would I care if my neighbour has more...

    Finite Water?

That depends. I see a lot of people don't use rail craft for the rails or Steve's carts but you can use both as a viable way of moving water or other liquids in large quantities in a realistic manner. However you are correct in that your initial base would need to be near water until you could...

    Wiring with ProjectRed Help

I have the same drawbridge door system. The simplest way I found was just to power the drawbridge from a togglelatch and wire the pressure plates from each side into it. Walk across the plate on one side and it opens, walk across the other side and it closes. Come back walk across a pressure...

Please help me, I am trying to figure out how much RAM I need...

Whaaaat? I have a $40 plan that does 3gb but the cpu's are blazingly fast. With 4-5 people playing with probably 6 spot loaders and 2-3 chunk loaders each I have no problems. I only ever once maxed out the cpu speed or the ram and that was when I was getting a bugged block. Start low and...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I am running a server on monster 1.0.7. I want to update to the new 1.0.10 pack and that carries with it massive worldgen changes, including oregen. So what I want to do is make our current dimension dimension say 6 instead of dimension 0. Can I do that just by changing around the files and...

    Surfacing and submerging a base

Rotarycraft from what I hear doesn't move well, so if you try to move its blocks make a backup save just in case.

    Would you build this?

I think if you want to follow strict realism guidelines you're not going to end up with a use for that amount of power. It doesn't seem too ridiculous to me to start following hard science fiction ideas when you start getting up to that tech level.

    RAM for FTB Monster Server

Well yes, that's why I said if they have a rapid and easy upgrade policy. You don't want to be paying an extra $20-40 a month if you find that you don't need to.

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

For updating to monster 1.0.9 I need to trim the world down to just our base continent so that it can generate with the new settings. Now I know I can do this by deleting the files that contain the chunk info for the unwanted areas. So my question is, how do I go about finding out what files...

    RAM for FTB Monster Server

Honestly my hosting package has 2 gb of ram, however none of that ram goes towards running a OS like a virtualized environment and it has an extremely high powered CPU. And with lots of chunk loaders and 4 players we see no hick ups. However if the CPU power available to you is on par with what...

    Getting started with rotarycraft

It is extremely easy to setup the power system in a manner that is hidden like other mods. In the floor or the wall and then use bevel gears to bring the power to the machine. When the power generation is in another room it is much quiter. You can also change in the configs a setting for the...

    Replacement for frame quarry

It's not the same, because nothing else is like a frame quarry, but Rotarycraft has a Boring Machine that is really quite great.

    Getting started with rotarycraft

I appreciate this thread. I hadn't known that the gasoline engine was supposed to be my workhorse, I'd just hooked up a clock circuit to a wireless transmitter and was using that to power AC engines around the world. Before AC I'd simply used steam engines. Maybe it's because I got lost in the...

Ah yes the Drawbridge from Tinkers Mechworks, doh! Thank you. Drawbridges aren't part of WR:CBE though. I am using some wireless redstone and I've encountered no problems.
