Goofy discussion: Are Jackalopes coming to Modded MC?

Balls. I want otters. Otters you can crossbreed into new types that poo minerals. Or a battle weasel. http://theoatmeal.com/quiz/weasels

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

I can't see any obvious obstructions. The wide end of the turbine is immediately adjacent to the end wall of the turbine room though, could that be causing it?

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

These are normal turbines. I've tried getting lubricant hose to attach to various points on the multiblock but can't seem to make it work... UPDATE: having tongued the window extensively, I worked something out. Turbines needing lubricant was introduced in v25, i'm still using v23c (because...

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

I did not know that. Do they need a one-off lubing like diamond gears or a constant supply? If the latter, where do I connect the lube tube (lol)?

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

Reactorcraft turbines take damage with extended use. I never noticed this before.

A Modpack With A New Idea

No. If I'm going for a modpack without thermal expansion or RF in general, it'll be Mekanism based rather than IC2/GT. It's just a better way of doing things :)

    BigReactors Vs ReactorCraft

Difficult to say which is more efficient in uranium. Big Reactors are so customisable that you can go from one that is almost self-sustaining (with the cyanite reprocessing thingy) to one that consumes more than 1000mb/s, while with reactorcraft you can have a basic design that chews through...

Modular Power Suits - Against Effects

Not as far as i'm aware. You are immune (mostly) to direct damage but debuffs will still hurt you. If the source of the debuff is bees, however, you can install apiarist upgrades to make you immune to that.

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

How? I use an autonomous activator to turn XP berries into xp orbs for my mob essence farm, it doesn't eat them at all.

    New to FTB

^ that is brilliant advice. I still do this even now when planning a big setup, it helps me iron out problems before I start putting things together in my survival world. Especially vital when dealing with anything that can potentially overheat and glass your entire base :)

    Automate Replicator Overclocker?

Factorization routers or Steve's Factory Manager might be able to resolve the upgrade slots without messing with the normal functionality. Not sure though.

    New to FTB

Well it is huge but without further direction on what sort of thing someone wants to do with their playthrough I thought it best just to point out the one with the widest range of possibilities.

    New to FTB

Monster is a good start as it has basically everything you could possibly want. In terms of mods: - Thermal expansion is the goto mod for newer players as it's incredibly simple to work with and the power system is used by many other mods. - Buildcraft is also good for this (before more...

    Early game defenses

    1. Openblocks elevators. So cheap and incredibly useful for hopping up/down a dozen or so blocks. Pretty sure mobs can't use them. Great for getting into a base suspended in the air or hidden underground. 2. Underwater bases are good for avoiding creeper terrain damage but not much else...
