    Suggestion/ Request

Now, you see, we did that, and some still needed to make the extension change by hand. I am unsure why.

Probably my fault. When I set up the server a few players had to remove that .disabled extension manually before they could connect to the modified server. Perhaps that has changed, or perhaps I just missed something obvious.

    Suggestion/ Request

I'm with you in spirit there, but having to change the .disabled extension sort of bites that in the butt; I actually found it easier to provide a mod via dropbox and explain how to add it through the launcher than to educate one of my players on file extensions, heh.

I dunno. While I appreciated having a couple of them preloaded, same blush, anyone who has enough knowledge to enable a mod (and BoP needed multiple configs changed server-side) has enough knowledge to add one manually. Sometimes compromise just isn't reasonable.

True, but we must always temper this with not fixing what ain't broken. I submit that Windows Vista/8 both had the same goals ;)

One other thing to note is that MFFS quarries can produce cobblestone at a truly insane rate. I had one going recently at 35 blocks/pulse (which is something like every 2 seconds) without even going over HV current.

After a little research, I believe your most efficient methods are two-fold depending on Minium Shard availability: First, 5 UU-Matter to 32 flint, then flint + Minium to 4 cobblestone each. Second, 1 UU-Matter to 16 Stone, then Macerated/Pulverized to cobblestone. The first is slightly...

    Do not use ender tanks/chests!

Love me some ForgeBackup. Prevents so much agony.

Very nice. I shall continue to plot on your behalf!

By the way, thank you for giving me something to point my friends at when they give me crap for "unnecessary overgathering" =P

    Do not use ender tanks/chests!

Mmm, fair enough. I haven't actually had any issues in non-Mystcraft dimensions, beyond sometimes having to place landmarks/quarries more than once to get the quarry defining the proper area. ::EDIT:: I do wonder if some of it just has to do with the way the base program saves dimensions. It...

Considering all of the amazing stuff he publishes, Chicken_Bones is a fantastic coder; you just can't account for everything. I'd be far more tempted to point the blame in the direction of MystCraft, which is a wonderful, fun, useful mod but notorious for causing erratic behaviour.

    Do not use ender tanks/chests!

I'll second this, Hoff... I keep trying to pump lava from a Mystcraft age and half the time I put down a Chickenchunks loader, the client crashes and the chunk resets. I've seen oil bulbs cut in half many a time.

Talk to IBM, see if you can rent Watson ;) ::EDIT:: Now there's an interesting idea. Teach Watson to play MineCraft, see what it does.

I find putting a chunk loader down in a Mystcraft age is a real good way to crash and blow the chunk =P It doesn't have anything to do with ender chests really.

Getting the most out of your ME Network

So here's a fun question. Say I programmed a pattern to indicate that it could send one fertilizer and 8 oak saplings to a fermenter, it would create.... oh, I dunno, a zombie head. If I then requested a zombie head from the MAC, would it create biomass?

    AE Autocrafting issues

Come to think of it, I probably do need to check that the line I ran to my neighbour is entirely loaded.

    AE Autocrafting issues

It also seems that even with chunk loaders, if you wander too far from the MAC ("too far" being "not very far at all") your crafting gets cancelled. These days if I'm going to make anything, I wait nearby until it's done.

Getting the most out of your ME Network

I think I need more RedNet lessons =P Aside from that, there's very little out there on the new MFFS and I'm just starting to learn how incredibly versatile it is. I don't think many people have explored its potential yet.
