I'm personally a big fan of using fairly small interlinked hexagons as the foundation for larger honeycomb like structures. Xycraft engineering blocks also look great with that design.

Aesthetically, I like the mountain ridge biomes added by XBXL because they remind me of the four corners states. However, I rarely build my bases in them because the hot and arid climate makes bee breeding a a pain.

Just a tip, the bees and the trees you are trying to breed don't have to both be in the swamp/jungle biome; in case you don't have any tropical bees.

I have a stupidly easy way to legitimately get iridium in the Mindcrack pack relatively early on. Use ore that you have large amounts of in an induction smelter to obtain rich slag (I use iron, tin, and lead). The loss of resources compared to using an industrial grinder is not that large seeing...

Eww, power flowers, Mindcrack pack all the way. Anyways, most metals have storage blocks and it just bugs me when I see that space in storage occupied by the wrong type of item.

Is it just me, or do the pastel colored ingots from Gregtech look really good? I made a (what I think) is a nifty little gradient with them. On a side note, does anybody know if they intend to make iridium or invar storage blocks?
