I prefer to use CentOS, but really all the the main variants are fairly similar, and it's pretty easy to swap from one to the other, main difference is one uses apt-get and the other uses yum, not really hard to learn or remember.

Having recently made pretty much a custom 1.6.4 Unleashed Pack, ID conflict's weren't a big issue, I probably had under 20 conflicts in total, taking less than 5 minutes to fix :)

After a bit of testing, downgrading IC2 to version 1.116.364-lf seems to fix the problem for me. I also have to ask, why have the last three updates gone out without testing? It's not that hard it took me a whole 5-10 minutes to relise the last three updates were broken. I really do expect better.
