OK so i'm digging and I just found this: It's an area where the block light drops to 0, light sources won't propagate into it. It's not a bug as far as I'm aware. Is this part of some mod and if so, what is it and what does it do?

Logistics pipes, factorization routers or steve's factory manager can allow you to specify slots for item input/extraction. AE buses are a bit finicky with some RoC slot-specific stuff.

Is there a decent (and regularly updated) resource for finding out which mods have been updated to 1.7.10? Or will I have to go round and check each site for each individual mod I want to add to a pack?

Too abusable. There WILL be drama. My idea would be to make it that if a thread is reported as spam by certain number of members, it gets hidden until a mod reviews it. Mods are going to hit the kill button on them when they log in anyway, this just keeps them out of the way until that time.

There isn't the same toolset, no. The basics are there though.

Generally i'll start a new vanilla world after each update. It never lasts too long before I run out of stuff to do.
