I'm pretty sure next "ultimate" pack will feature versions with GT and without it... Atleast the 1.52 packs do.. also the "Main pack" in the FTB launcher is just based on usage statistics... the most played one displays at top.

Isn't most that the mod offers already config options in GT? I think people are more interested about drama than justice though. otherwise this thread would be on IC2 forums where greg actually reads it.

It's already fixed on both. The wood is toggleable again, and mdiyo removed his overrides. All is fine in the mod kingdom.

I think this is why 1.52 FTB has a NGT and WGT versions available. I think that's how it's going to be in the future also. the choice is yours, 2 different packs. I already explained this in my previous post. A world is "through" in my mind when i've reached a goal that i've set for myself...

I wouldn't say that GT isn't a quality mod, but i might be a bit biased since i probably wouldn't even play FTB without it... UE is a really great mod but doesn't really replace GT as they are focused on completely different aspects, replacing IC2 in a non-GT FTB might be a great idea!

GT and mdiyo already resolved it and most likely 99.9% of minecraft players didn't even experience the crash. Sure, the .1% might go up in arms and make a huge campaign to kill GT, but is that really what you want... less mods?

If an option has a greater return but a bigger cost/risk/challenge then I call that balanced. But if an option has greater returns and the same cost/risk/challenge, it needs a nerf.

No, nerfing doesn't mean that the player would be punished in any way. In good game design all the paths have equal returns but different methods to get there. Nerfing happens when one of the paths is more powerful than the others leading to the other paths to be forgotten. Good game balance...
