Have you changed where the changelogs are? I haven't seen any updates to the changelogs and I think there have been updates to the mod that are not on the changelog? I am not 100% sure.

Or you could make your own, in 1.7 it's even easier than 1.6. No ID conflicts to worry about there, just crashes from other things. It's not all that hard to make your own if you wish :)

You could always use NBT explorer and copy that part and then put it into the new file.

I had an issue like this before and what I did to fix it was I moved all of my stuff into a chest etc and then deleted my player.dat file, and it seemed to fix it.

If you really want a high res pack and you have enough ram and a good enough system even then it might lag you could try sphax 512x, however not all of the patches for the mods are 512x

Are you sure? It would be really helpful if you could list what you are wearing and what is in your inventory so we can rule out any possibilities, if that's too much you could always take a screenshot, I'm trying to rule out all possibilities.
