Rotarycraft pipes work different from the BC pipes and fluiducts you may be used to. They require pressure to flow water, not just the presence of water in the pipe and a valid destination. What are you feeding the pipes from? The reservoir? A RC pump? Or a different model water output block...

Unless, and I'll check later and update if it's the case, my magma crucible and fluid transposer are straddling a chunk boundary, no. If I have them transfer through adjoining sides, I get exactly what I should. If I run through 2 fluiducts across the top of the two, I get excess fluid.

Edit: Doh! Reading fail...you were saying ALSO netherrack. Soul sand, perhaps? I was running low in nether quartz, so started tossing the output of my sand->soul sand setup into my sieves and was picking up the occasional broken ardite and cobalt ore. Plus free ghost tears, and other goodies.
