I think the whole point is not that RP2 should be dropped, it's that it should be *considered* whether to drop it in the near future - if the other mods are up to date and Elo hasn't been heard from. This would apply to all mods dragging behind and holding everyone else up. This is also taking...
According to the update list we have, it's 24/67 that have "NO" in the status. That will change, obviously. Point is, it's not time to get out the pitchforks yet :p

*EDIT* added a link to the doc
OMG I just realized that pretty much everything VintageBeef has ever made would be gone. He *loves* microblocks.
But anyway, you get the point. There are many people who use a large portion of the mod. I hope this gets resolved in the least destructive way for everyone.
I kind of suggested that before. I think it's a totally viable solution. And not just for RP2, but any of the mods that lagged behind after a certain time period. There are still 20 something mods that we don't know the status of yet. It's only been a month though, so this wouldn't happen for a...
Or missing your entire sorting system, you mean. And mob grinder, and lighting system, etc... etc... RP2 is a whole lot more than 7 blocks. Honestly, I'd rather lose that and keep the rest, but it's either all or nothing, obviously.
What about all the other stuff, though. Sorting systems would be missing pieces, mob grinders, lighting systems, turtles made with the gems. It's a whole lot more than 7 blocks.
I always screw up multi-quotes, sorry :P
Do gems/ingots/etc remain even after a mod is removed? I thought everything goes away, but I've never removed a mod before after using it, so I couldn't tell you from experience. Why would people have to start a new world? There would be holes in...
I mentioned anti-virus. And you're absolutely correct. That was my point - just because it's free doesn't mean it's of poor quality.
I agree, this will never get resolved. There will be people who will take the attitude "I don't have to do a damn thing. I'm not getting paid to make mods" and...
If she didn't want her mod included in FTB, then she would have said no. So she obviously okayed it being in FTB. As such, that gives her a responsibility to keep FTB updated to the status of the mod. Unless she doesn't care anymore. But we won't know that until she actually gets in touch with...
I think you misunderstand what I mean by responsibility - she has a responsibility if she wants her mod to be included in FTB. If she doesn't care, well then, no, she doesn't have a responsibility to do anything at all. She won't have to update the mod, tell anybody anything about the mod...
I've always loved that picture. Haha.
I disagree, though. It is a two way street. There are benefits to the author to have their mod included in FTB - exposure. If they want the benefit of having their mod in FTB, then they have certain responsibilities to the FTB team to keep them updated on...
That's not true. She has a responsibility to the modpack makers *if she wants her mod to still be included* Other than that, no, you're correct and she doesn't need to do squat. She doesn't get paid for this. No one disagrees with that.
